yes it is definitely juice, I've got a mouthful a couple times myself.. It's probably because you're used to hitting it hard as crap because that's what everyone is used to.. This mod it flows so good you don't have to hit it hard at all. IDK just a guess.

Yes, elcipse is right. You have to align the cart with the coil in the white tray. That's where the super hot coil wire is located. If you don't you will melt the cart on the flat side.

Am I cutting the plug too small? To repeat I haven't had the gurgling sound in the atty like I used to when I flooded from dripping, just lots of juice in the air pockets in my carts..
That gurgling sound you are hearing is liquid in the top end of the cart. There is a baffle on the mouth tip end of the cart. You stick a paper clip in the hole and pry the end cap off of the cart. You will notice the liquid trapped in there. This is the only way to get it out.

The liquid gets into this area because of a weak atomizer or battery. Liquid will not bypass the atomizer if it is performing properly and the battery has a good charge. If you hear that gurgling sound it means liquid is bypassing the atomizer.

They are probably the current size because of the poor wicking material - polyfill - used by the inventors. Now that we have some good ideas on wicking material it makes sense, finally, to consider longer carts.

And there is a mod where someone did extend their cartridge using tubing.

This is my First post I have only had my 510 for about a week and I hated the polyfil that came in my stock carts. So at first i tryed the straw mod still I hated all the juice at the left and I kept getting fibers in my atty and crappy vapor production and didnt help with the liquid waste. so I went to the double folded ptb, fraide ptb , loose and tight nothing seemed much differant i always had to top off after about 10 mins of vaping. I hate that so i went and got some of this marineland foam last night from petsmart. i really like it i filled my cart last night almost all the way to the top and cut a sorta plug out of the foam vaped on it for about 2 hours mabe 3 refilled last night and still kicking super strong great filler. looked everything online about the product that i could find, only problem with the polyurethane polyether based foam is that they are made differant ways one is with and alkaline acid and the other is with combustable gas in a chamber and fired. now the down side i still cant find the way this foam is made but the alkaline leaves an acid residue in the foam so im still looking think im going to ask marineland and see if they have the information on this and post back later sorry about the long speach.

I do declare.. I think you are a freaking genious (that's a good thing.. I think) I have noticed declining battery power AND ben thinking it's time for this atty to go.. sooo.. time to order a chuck and strap on a new atty until it gets here... **does the happy dance again..** crap.. i need to stop that in public..

THANKS FOR THE HELP on this. I am leaning towards this being the issue as even the folded mod wasnt stopping the issue much.

Default Not the only way to get the juice out....

Whenever I get the juice in the bottom of the cart, all I do is take off the cart, put a tissue or whatever around the top of the cart and blow the juice out - I've never had to remove the bottom of the cart... Anybody else??

There are two things that will cause gurgling noises (and they're both related). One is a flooded atty and the gurgling is down in the bowels of the atomizer. Blowing it out will resolve that.

The other is liquid up in the air passages of the cartridge. This is often accompanied by a bit of liquid in the mouth. I've never had to take a cartridge mouthpiece apart to get that out. I just pull the cartridge, put a paper towel over the filler end, and blow through the mouthpiece hard. It all comes out on the paper towel for me.

Same.. but i've taken the carts apart plenty of times to soak them once a week.. I've gotten lazy lately and just rinsed them under the sink and just blow them out good.

    How's it holding up Eclypse?
I still haven't had to change the plugs after a week... I did wash them today however.
