I still haven't had to change the plugs after a week... I did wash them today however.
Cool to hear that its going strong for 5 days on the same plug! lol.. Crazy. Please keep going till it leaks hehe. It would be good to know just how long it would last as it would be another reason that this plug is a no brainer!

Just using the random size plug and extra thin layer on top.. Working strong. Would of been on the same one for 3-4 days but dropped it in the drain trying to wash it.

Seriously hoping i get my new juice order in the mail tomorrow.

I'm done hunting around for a better cart material, thats forsure. hehe. I've noticed another thread there trying this and that.. why? No idea to be honest.. Happy right here. Just plug it and smoke it!

I just pull the cartridge, put a paper towel over the filler end, and blow through the mouthpiece hard. It all comes out on the paper towel for me.
Actually, with a good atty and strong battery, there really isn't what you could call a flooded atomizer. I have found that a good working system can take a very large amount of juice. Instead of a gurgling sound you will hear a frying sizzle sound, that's a good thing.

Almost any gurgling sound means that juice is getting past the atomizer instead of being vaporized. Sizzle good, gurgle bad.

I respect your opinion.. but I don't necessarily agree.... or we're just using different semantics! Probably the latter.

Been playing a LOT over the last week with various things, and I've had the opportunity to flood a LOT of good atomizers with good batteries! I've dumped enough liquid in them that the cavity underneath the coil pot gets filled and it leaks out of the two small side holes at the batter connection. When that happens they will gurgle like crazy and you probably won't be able to vape your way out of it. Just too dern much liquid down there!

This usually happens when you have an overly aggressive feeding system.. and you have the PV vertical for a while (LED end down). The liquid runs down the bridge.. down the sides of the coil pot, and collects under the pot down by the plastic internal nozzle. Then... when you draw... it blows bubbles down there!

But like you said..... the sizzle is GREAT! The gurgling is bad!

I guess my large amount of liquid is less than yours. I forgot that we are dealing with modded carts and possibly could dump a real lot of liquid at once.

I pay a lot of attention to the sounds my PV makes. The sound of the atomizer will tell you a lot about how the PV is performing. I usually will hit the button for about a second or two before I draw on the cart. A lot of times I will put the cart up to my ear and listen for the sizzle. If you get no sound at all, usually you have a problem with the battery, the atomizer, or a dry cart. If you hear nothing you have a problem and best not try to draw on the atty.

eclypse, so far I prefer version1. I find it easier to put together than the doubled up method.

I just use the width of the foam to fit the width of the cart and eyeball the other dimensions to form the following shape.
    ______
    l l
    l l
    l___l

After use it ends up looking more like this with a indentation from the bridge.
    __ __
    l l__l l
    l l
    l___l

I have still been getting a good seal. I think having a little extra material under the bridge helps prevent leaking once indented.

I have also tried it with Kristen's straw mod and it looks like that helps the plug fit a little tighter to the bridge, but I'm still not sure if it creates a performance boost.

Crap that didn't work I tried to use ASCll and when it posted it the format chaged.

The origonal shape is a equilateral trapezoid with the narrow end going into the cart.

After use it ends up with and indentation on top.

After all the work you have been doing I think you will get the idea.

Ok i have a 510 and this is what i did with the blue foam and ptb double folded and frayed.
I was sitting around last night after a horrible day of flooded attys yesterday at school had to pull out a back up with the ptb mod in it and my back up atty. I wasted so much juice so when i got home i was looking at my carts to see what i had done wrong. I stuck a few upside down on a paper towl and bam after about 10mins the juice was driping on the paper towl. I took them out and was looking at the blue foam and my pyramid tea bags and i had an idea so i cut a thin piece of the blue foam about 1 1/2 in long and folded it in half. Then i wrapped it in the middle of my double folded pyramid tea bag then i cut the bottom of the tea bag to make the frays like the ptb double folded and frayed this actually alowed the blue foam to expand. Its working really well so far I have not had a flooded atty or had a burnt taste and when it ran out i went to refill and everything at the bottom of the cart was gone and almost nothing in the blue foam or tea bag. Had great flavor and vape just thought everyone would like to know if they are having problems with flooding and the blue foam plug i thought it was a nice vape lasted for about 4 1/2 5 hours on a full cart and hardly any juice wasted.

    eclypse,
Found some grey foam with an identical texture to what your pic shows. Thought I'd give it a try. Its softer than what I'd imagined the blue was, but.........

Works great. Full flavor just like dripping. I'll probably still get the Marine brand. Anything that won't kill a $1000 fish is usually considered safe for humans. lol

I did a little drawing to help people with your mod.
If you take a toothpick and touch the top of the atty bridge and slide your thumb and finger up to the tube, mark it there, that gives you distance A.
Now, put your marked place against the face of the cart and the point of the toothpick gives you distance B. The orange area is the amount of foam that will be touching the atty if the foam is flush with the face of the cart.
If the foam is not flush with the cart face opening, putting the tip of the toothpick at the cart sealing ring and looking at the mark on the toothpick, you can see if your depressed foam will touch the bridge and how much of the foam has to be in the C orange area to touch the bridge.

Hope this helps people in using your mod.

IMO, this mod bites. Severely flooded my atty and the juice drained down through to my batt (good thing I use manuals or it might have ruined my batt). I think I'll stick to the straw mod, it's the only one I've tried so far that doesn't flood and works with any consistancy.

I'm sorry you had some bad luck. I have the version 2 mod working perfectly for me on my 510. I've been using the mod carts on my Prodigy and my Protege with no issues at all. I did have to trim the plug slightly so that my Prodigy wouldn't go too lean. I've been able to empty the carts everytime.

I use my own blend of juice that contains about 30% VG and 10% everclear. It is just a little thicker than straight PG. I get no runs, no drips, and no errors so far. I can find no fault with this method so far at all. The cart vapes ferfectly from start to empty.
