I've only come to this thread to see what you've come up with and follow your progress and comment on the coversation, but yes, I have seen you mention your mod in other threads. No big deal.
But that isn't the point - the point is that we all work together to get a great mod and contribute. People come in and critique my mods/ideas all of the time and I'm open to suggestions and I'm willing to change - even if their idea is better than mine. I enjoy the spirit of the community working together and off each other's ideas. We also give each other credit when we work off of someone else's ideas. Sometimes you don't seem to want anything but glowing accolades, so I guess I'll stay out of your thread now.![]()
OK, I can't help it, but case in point. Exactly the same complaint as every other filler - including one's I've suggested.
I'm not saying that I'm right and you're wrong or trying to sabotoge your thread, Eclypse. I was just saying why I haven't tried the blue foam yet.
I'll still check in on you, to see if you get it to work because that is the whole point of this forum, but I won't comment any longer. I don't want to be accused of being a troll in your thread.
Here is the straw I am currently using. As you can see there is no chance that it traps air. Now whether or not I have the marineland foam or the pb, or whatever, my only goal is to get the biggest reservoir and best wicking filler. The small piece is just included to show how much of the straw I removed.
Nothing personal eclypse, you take this all too personally and act as any bad mention of the blue foam is an attack on you. It's not. When I get something positive, I post it. When I get something negative, I post it. it's all designed to make the "cart" better.
Yes there is!
If your atty is getting dry from the slug then you can trim down the slug so it doesn't go into your cart as deep. Or, if you have to work to get the width to fit, you can trim that up some so you don't condense the foam as much.
The downside of this is you become more prone to leaks, but there is definitely a happy medium.
If it helps, most the slugs I've made that have worked really well end up being square.
Let the maker of the mod help and point out the fix please lol.
Its all in how you hold your cig. If you keep it straight up with the cart on top the juice will hold.. Like in your pocket or how must stand there mods on a flat surface. The juice will flow down to the plug when you hold the cig at a 45 degree angle. The juice will follow the wall down other then that it will just sit there as its uder air pressure.
Also you could be hitting it too hard or too often, not allowing the juice time to flow to the plug. WHen that happens the plug will become full of air and create an air barrier that the juice wont penetrate. Again, this may happen if you lay your cig sideways on a flat surface or upside down with the cart on the bottom and the plug could run dry.
Yeah a dry atty that has the burnt taste in the past is nasty! hehe. Also its a great tool to have as it will aleart you when your runing lean or your cart is about empty. So i look at it as a possitive learning/warning tool.
Was'nt trying?? But whatever.

Interesting find tonight.. the other new mod ended up not working right in the end.. would love to know why as the damn thing worked great for the first 5 refills. In the end the draw off of it was too hard.. pull the cart off and the plug was nice and wet. So i tossed that one out.
What i tried next dont really make sense but its kinda just like the bridge mod. What it is, is a fliped over slug! That was working good but i thought it might be better to make it a hair thicker so i'm using a slug thats 1/4" wide by 3/4" long.
I'm sure those of you that are using the slug can easily try this out. hehe
Just flip the slug over! Sits higher then the regular plug, no leakage like the bridge as its catching the juice flow from the edge and directing it to the center of the slug. Small enough to not clogg up so its still able to breath.
And the best part is that its great for high voltage as the sides of the fliped slug are not near the coil like the slug was before.
I have been using it for the past 3 hours or so.. If its good in the morning as well i'll make it final.
