    Stehle,

Ditto on everything you said. Kristin is doing a great job. This mod is very important to me and others. I have never had a cart perform as well as one with this mod. I think they are swatting at nats by critizing the components. I don't know of any thing that doesn't contain some potential issues when it comes to dealing with plastics.. But since our entire existance is full of plastics and polymers I don't think there is anything but perception of harm.

I can't seem to get the plug thickness right on such a small plug. Its also very hard to see the weave or which way grain runs. Any suggestions would greatly appreciated. (Time for the magnifying glass again!)

For all the juice folks... I have the best results with Vermont Vaper which are a thick VG blend and the worst luck with commercial import juice which is primarily PG.
These factors will always be the main issues. Someone who isn't using the cookie-cutter ingrediences may have to adjust the plug. But, the fact is they are dealing with them now by using the stock filler as well. We're writing the book on these issues as we go anyway. So some detours may be necessary.

It's all positive in my book.

    Default Query = criticism?

Sorry if my question put a damper on the Buff Puff party. I'm fairly new to the whole vaping thing, and don't have a long history of trying various filler materials out. I did recall hearing that polyurethane had some negative things associated with it (having nothing to do with vaping), and so, I asked what, if anything, members here knew about it. Kristin kindly investigated past the first-look response to determine more about the product, and I was pleased to hear her results; perhaps no one here saw my post to that effect. As noted in my first post in this thread, I am extremely grateful for this mod being shared here, as it worked very well for me. But perhaps that post, also, was not noticed.

Can we please not jump all over the new vaper for asking an innocent question?

Well said a2dcovert! You and I think alike on this.

    -or-

    To put it another way...

"Wee doe'n smell no steenk'in burnt plasteek!'

Seriously... we vapers put it in our mouths everyday.

    We should know. 'nuff said.

    Yep overlooked this one

You are right, Kristin has spent a lot of time on testing and research and it shows.

I get so amazed at times with some of the health questions raised. After all we are breathing poisonous pestacide vapor and yet some get all excited about some other component of the PV might be harmful. Even if using a PV was only 50% less harmful than cigarettes it would be worth the change. Using a PV is about 95% safer than cigarettes and they will save a lot of lives.

    Hi All,

I've been playing around with the mod and I have come to the same conclusions.
    1. The buff Puff material works great
    2. I tried it without the straw just the plug. No joy. The plug either floods the atty or is so tight it can’t wick
    3. I tried a full piece with no straw and worked great. But it is viscosity sensitive as it has been mentioned.
    4. I did not notice much difference between the straw mod/plug and the full piece of Buff Puff. The full piece drained 90%-95% of what the straw mod did.
Overall this great stuff with or without the straw. I’m going to stick to the full piece. For me it’s easier to refill and not much loss in performance. YMMV

I was thinking that some mention about this should be included in the description of the mods as most novices will be using commercial juice.

Oh, I see what you're saying now, Kevin. That's a very good point.

I'm about ready to start a new thread with a new diagram and/or photos with the BP material as the plug. I'm going to use the BP a little longer to fully test it. This thread has become pretty long and there were a lot of changes since the first mod post. Or maybe I'll just get Sun to edit the first post for me.

I just completed day 5 and this same plug is still working like a champ!

I did rinse out the plug today - not because it was performing different, but because it just looked kind of nasty, lol!

Yes, Celsius. Sorry - my U.S.-ness showing there a bit. Should have specified. lol

That sounds great Kristin. Can't wait to see your results. I like the idea of a new thread. Some other threads have become confusing by updating in the middle. A fresh start with a solid new product is a good idea.
