Scott, did you already try cutting one layer to fit and then moistening it to make it expand a bit to seal better?

Oh, sorry. As I said, I don't know what stuff is called around there and didn't realize this was already thrown out there

I tried the straw trick last night and it seemed to do very well, very strong vapor the entire time and the cartridge just kept going and going. I was using the standard oem filler that the cartridge ships with.

    Kristin,

As soon as the bridge hit the material it "dimpled" and pulled away from the edge of the cart cavity. Dumped 15 drops into the atty. Bleh!

I've said this before.... if the manufacturer made the cup extension on the cart about 1/8" shorter.. and then took a membrane material like the ShamWow and molded it into a snap-on ring cap for the cart cup.... that would be pretty close to perfection.

I may actually make one of these for myself since I have the equipment... but I'm not going to tell anybody. `Cuz then you'd all want one!

    You know those key identifiers?

Something like that (obviously smaller & same shape as the cart,) with the filler in the middle, that pops into the end of the cart!

I have been trying to think of some use for the little silicone/rubber translucent cartridge covers.

What I wanted to do is remove all filler and cover the end of the cartridge with this (as it comes when you purchase new filled cartridges). It would have to be attached somehow as to not allow it to fall off or into the atomizer. Once its attached poke a pin sized hole in the center of it. Since this is at the very end of the cart you will have to mod the atomizer by removing the nickel foam that usually sticks up a bit and comes into contact with the cart.

So now what? Well the idea is that you would be able to squirt juice in a tiny stream directly onto the atomizer by applying pressure somehow to the cartridge.

Still thinking about this one. Straw mod for extension would allow for more juice, squeez-ablity, and prevent one from having to mod the atomizer by removing the nickel foam cone.

    Hmmm....

Get back to you on this.

You're on the right track.... a small pop-on ring like that with the membrane permanently molded or otherwise affixed in the opening.

T'would work wonderfully.... I'm pretty confident.

I just have to say you guys and gals are great...I am very new to vaping, and honestly, reading every post in this thread, I am so totally lost, and I am a pretty smart guy. LOL

Is this creating an extension to your existing carts or is it something you are putting in your carts to allow more fluid?

I am assuming of course that all carts work pretty much like the ones I have, whether they are whistle tip or whatever...and will someone please correct me if I am wrong...you have the plastic sleeve, which is formed to make the whistle tip or whatever, then inside that is the actual cartridge filled with the poly fill and fluid...that cartridge is designed so that when you draw on the tip (for autos) that the vapor moves around the outside of the cartridge and through the hole on the tip.

I guess i don't understand how the purpose of the straw and plug...if you filled the whole of the plastic sleeve with fluid, wouldn't you then intake that fluid when you took a draw?

and I am sorry if this post is in the wrong place...just tryin to learn something here
