Good luck Doug! You might want to consider dripping, it's not for everyone, but it's reliable and more controllable.
Not really, umop, you get so much material for $8, I can share and still have enough to last me a couple of years!

In the process I found out why the USPS loses money - I sent an appx 2" x 3" piece of foam in a regular envelope all the way to South Africa for less than $1.50!! How ridiculous is that?? No one expects to pay that little - why don't they charge a little more, break even and give the American public one less government entity to gripe about?!

    Well, when I become president....

Blue Foam is the way to go!
Here is one link, but you can find tons of others.
Marineland Rite-Size U Bonded Foam Sleeve Sleeves

We here in the USA should buy as much as we can get from our local pet stores. Then we can send to our overseas vaping friends.

    1-remove batting
2-cut a tiny strip off one of the long sides, wash, pat dry, loosen
    3-replace batting
    4-Vape ON

Less is ALWAYS more when it comes to filler.....no matter what type u use.

I hope you DO become president, we in Africa need you!

K lady, don't underestimate the magnitude of the favour you're doing me, favours are not just about monetary value. Think of it as providing a complete stranger with something of value to them and which they could not get without you. That's what makes it, and you, special.

I'm surprised at the low postage cost, tell this to your dealers. For example, I can't find RY4 liquid here so I enquired about importing a 10ml RY4 from a couple of your US dealers. The quoted charge; $4 for the RY4 + $35 postage. To put that in perspective, if RY4 were available here I could get 100ml (with change), or add another $20 to it and buy a brand new DSE905 or M201 etc., starter kit.

Boy, that sounds awfully high . I've shipped china plates, insured, to Europe and it wasn't that expensive. The biggest hassle in sending packages out of the US is filling out the forms. PM me with the details on what brand you want, Doug, and I'll check into the shipping costs. I might have to be a little creative when describing the contents!

Gosh k lady, you have such a big heart, I think I'm in love, will you marry me?

I suspect their postage quotes are what is known as 'nuisance quotes' which suppliers/contractors etc., give to encourage one to go away, but if accepted, yield a huge profit on the service. I always choose to 'go away' and not deal with such people.

On the RY4 front, luckily, my supplier mailed me last night to say his shipment, including my Dekang RY4 request, came in yesterday. I shall go and try it out soonest. I hope it's great 'cause I'm getting pretty desperate for a decent tasting vape, atm, vaping is like an anti-smoking medicine i.e. they say medicine is supposed to taste bad or it doesn't work.

Your offer is however, highly appreciated. Raincheck?

Oh, well, er, um...tried that, twice, just not cut out for it, it seems... But, THANKS!!!!

With a little luck, you'll get the foam at the same time to really enjoy your RY4. If I was stuck with just the standard cart filler, I would probably have given up on vaping by now.

Anytime, Doug, just let me know.

Awww, the *crack* you heard was my heart breaking.

Picked up my RY4 10ml sample today, tried dripping some without a cart. Not offensive although I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I detected some caramel and some 555 nuttiness, but not nearly as nutty.

I've prepared an RY4 cart and will try it some more at my leasure before ruling on it.

No blue foam yet but stuff I've ordered from the US (in the days when postage was reasonable), has always taken 3 weeks or more, so plenty of slack left.

Good news k lady, your blue foam sample arrived today! Loved the accompanying card, nice touch, many thanks.

On opening the envelope I was assailed by a rather strong and unpleasant odour, seems whatever filtering agent it's coated with got claustrophobic in the confines of the envelope and just wanted out. I understand I must wash it until I get rid of the agent, will plain water and hand rinsing work or does it need something more aggressive? I'd hate to vape that residue but don't want to replace it with something worse, like detergent.

I've come to realise that the only reason we need cart mods is atty deterioration. I was struggling as usual to get a conventional-filler cart to wick and vape properly without constant topping or dripping, when I decided to plug a new atty into my Janty Stick. All of a sudden the Stick came back to life, hitting my throat like a sledgehammer and seemingly, judging from the vapour clouds, setting me on fire. The cart ran until dry and has done after each refill for a few days now.

I surmise that the high temperature of a new and powerful atty distributes through the liquid in the cart and causes good wicking, as opposed to a worn atty that just burns the face of the cart filler and fails to draw the liquid down.

On the Dekang RY4 front, my perception of the flavour went, over a couple of days, from wtf, to mmm, to hey, to coooool, to THAT is my permavape! The 10ml sample didn't last long but I couldn't very well ask my dealer to bring in a litre from China and then tell him I didn't like it! The litre left China a week ago and should be here next week, just in time for Xmas and if I'm right about my missus colluding with Santa, an M201 under the tree!
