    Default Plastic Version

    Plastic Version of ADM-PC

While the galvanize steel paper clips shouldn't pose much of a rust problem, if you are looking for a plastic alternative, here it is.

Tools: Plastic drinking straw and scissors

    1) Cut a length of tub approximately 32mm in length.
    2) Cut the tube open lengthwise with scissors.
    3) Cut a lengthwise strip between 1-2mm wide. This will create a plastic strip approximately 32ml long and 1-2mm wide.
    4) Bend and insert into the empty cart the same way you would with the paper clip (see illustration below). It may not center itself like the paper clip, but remember, the clip or plastic strip does not provide support. It just keeps the filler from sliding down into the cart opening. The thinner the strip the better the liquid flow.

This mod is designed to be adjusted to fit your needs. You can use a longer strip if you want. You can fill the top of the cart with the vent filter pads, poly-fil, filler from an original cart, blue foam, or whatever you want. It still provides the same benefits of a longer plug for a better seal and the ability to top off when necessary. And it still holds the same 12 drops as the original ADM.

I haven't tested the plastic straw version as much as the paper clip version, but my prototype drained the cart just fine. I just wanted to share what I learned so you can choose how to get the most out of your vaping. The Original ADM mod in general has changed my enjoyment of using the Joye510 exponentially and I was already a happy camper!

P.S. These instructions are Joye510 round cart specific. Feel free to share dimension or alternatives for other models.

Dont see why one could'nt just slightly heat the plastic clip with a blow dryer (IF needed) to bow it out a little so its tight corner to corner.

I like this idea. The straw should provide a bit of spring, pushing the filler up into the bridge. I think.

Yeah, forget the paper clip, need the spring action from the straw. A lot of possibilities with this, I have some ideas already....here's one - Wider at the arch with a hole punched in the center.

    nice one Daffy.

From a thread of my own on the subject of liquid stingy carts:

Last night I read this thread by ProfessorDaffy, credit to you and those who preceeded you in the development.

I spent a few minutes, clipping a plastic coated paper clip, using the large loop end to perfectly fit my larger Janty Stick cart, filled the cart and stuck a smallish ball of filler in to plug it. Vaping is big and consistant until the cart is empty, too big perhaps, so I mostly take shortish puffs, much like smoking an analog. Totally brilliant for that first thing in the morning, desperation Nic-loading session!

Not too worried about corrosion, the exposed metal ends are tiny and at the bottom of the cart and should mostly be kept wet by the liquid, little oxygen = little rust.

My filler material is a filter material from a local aquarium shop but is nothing like the "Blue Foam Plug" material, which is not available here in SA. (k-lady is very kindly sending me some ). It tends to push down next to the paper clip a bit, but this doesn't seem to detract and it stays well moistened all the time. Refilling by syringe is quick and easy.

I may now confirm that the paper clip mod variant works great in large carts such as those for the Janty Stick.
    Bit extravagant on liquid though.

I have some similar to that. Not 100% plastic like those but think a paper clip dipped in rubber/plastic/vinyl. It only leaves two pin points of metal exposed. My biggest concern is that I don't want to metal to flavor the liquid. I'm all about flavor and the ADM gives that in spaces. The vinyl coated metal ones worked like a champ by the way.

You got the ball rolling, Scotty. I don't mind giving credit, because this has been a journey. Every little piece is just going to lead to the next great mod. When I find something better I'll give it a try. If I can make it from stuff around the house...even better!

I was using this mod just the other day. I was halfway though a cart and I was just getting clouds of vapor. As if I had just dripped. That's why I love this mod so much.

I've got a pillow sized bag of the poly-fil, but I love the ease of the sheet.

P.S. Yes, I have been known to walk around Lowe's with e-cig-vision. The next great mod is in there... but which aisle!

Actually it does. It holds it against the walls of the cart and gives a little bounce. Kind of the same as a vertical spring, but metal free. Like a vegi-cart.

    --Prof Daffy
P.S. With a vertical straw you want a cheap thin straw, but since you basically making a plastic strip, you'll probably want a thicker one.

You'll have to make one first and you'll notice the opening of the cart is about 3mm wide at best. Juice is too thick to flow. But you used a longer strip, it would create two natural opening on either side. You just wouldn't want to press down too hard with your filler.

    --Prof Daffy
P.S. Opening up our minds to possibles is what it's all about. Even if this just leads to the next big thing it's worth it.
