    looking for input as to cart material. was thinking of making a steel cart/filler for my 510s. the filler would perhaps have a small o-ring to ensure proper fitment and eliminate seeping. they'd be easier to clean as well, no warping or melting.
    was also thinking perhaps a cap on the filler, with a fine flex mesh top, similar to the adm/zfm. pop the top to fill, replace and go ...

    any drawbacks with a steel/metal cart that anyone can think of? or is this an already hashed out idea?

    It can certainly be done. As a matter of fact, almost the exact same configuration that you are contemplating has already been discussed, and partially fabricated.

    If you're going to go with "steel", make very sure that you are using an austenitic stainless steel... 303, 304 or the like. Keep away from traditional carbon steels and martensitic stainlesses.

    any threads here on the partial fab work already done? i haven't begun yet, but will start setting up in my shop soon.
