Default Blue Foam - Uses juice really fast?

I've been using the blue foam mod for the past couple days and it works great: I get massive, consistent vapor production until the cart is vaped dry.

One problem, though... I will go through an entire cart worth of juice in about 2-3 hours, only taking 5-ish puffs every 30 minutes or so, meaning I need about 3 carts if I'm away from home for a work day. The cart is dry, so I know it's being used, and there is no leaking.

My question is what is going on? If I fill the cart with juice and use a poly-fill cap, it lasts me maybe twice as long. Is it that because the blue foam is wicking so well and so fast that I just use all the juice much more quickly?

I'm guessing that's the case, but I want to see if anyone else noticed this.

Maybe I just need to take shorter 1-3 second drags (versus the 5-6 I was doing before) since so much juice is being delivered to the atty, where as with polyfill, it wasn't.

Based on the few mods I've done which deliver better vapor, they ALL have used more juice. Blue foam mod on a straw variant is my fav so far but it means my wife and I both use about twice the juice.

Worth it to us, though. Wetter atty, better hit as far as we're concerned and no waiting if you want another right after the last one.

Yes, all mods use more juice because they wick liquid to the atty more efficiently, therefore more juice gets used. You get a better vape as a result. There really is no waste because you would be getting less vapor with an inefficient cartridge - that's the only reason it uses less.

Sorry for the delay in responding thebat1.

We use the ADM with blue foam mod kind of thing (see elsewhere on this forum). Instead of a spring or straw, tho, I bend a piece of jewelry making wire into an "S" shape with two legs.

    Cheapo Illustration:

The wire can be found at any hobby store (ours came in a package of about 2 dozen three inch pre-cut lengths). Easily worked with craft style needle nose pliers. In fact, wrapping the wire halfway around the "nose" gets me the "S" shaped platform quik and easy.

In case it matters, we use Modern Vapor's Sidesho which I believe is what they call a high bridge atomizer. I make the platform with long legs then cut 'em off so that the "S" will end up just under the atty bridge when the cart is fitted to it (ends up being about 1/2 inch tall).
