Default CASAA Suggestion Box

Anyone have any ideas, news or events they feel need CASAA's attention? This is a consumer advocacy group, so let's hear from all you consumers!

Get the registration fixed! and some content! I was so excited to see CASAA but after trying to register, it seems it all worked but I can't log in, have seen no updates and still no content on the site.

I think this could be a great thing and I know everyone is very busy with other stuff, but ASH the ACS, the FDA and others work every day against us. The more who get involved, the less work for everyone and the more activism we can do.

I"m super busy too, but i'll help with the little time I do have. If I can get registered that is!

All this is in process now. It is no small task, bear with us. We are diligently working to get everything up and running as soon as possible.

Now you're speaking my language!

Over 90% of e-cig users never read these forums and suppliers would be nuts to send their users to a sea of other supplier advertising. As long as CASAA stays ad-free, it's resources will be a valuable source that suppliers won't feel threatened to share with their customer base.

my suggestion: change the name S in CASAA from smoke-free to smokeless

thus making it one word (non-compound) and a bit more befitting to the acronym

I think that "smokeless" is considered equally correct, but personally I prefer "Smoke-free" because "smokeless tobacco" specifically refers to chewable plant material. "Smokeless alternatives" isn't necessarily the same thing, but rather than get bogged down in semantics...I just stick with Smoke-free most of the time.

I keep seeing threads asking people to write senators, and other people/places to help the cause of the electronic cigarette, but I wonder how many people actually do it. I was wondering...
Would it be useful to start a thread specifically for the pupose of emailing the link to some of those places. For example, the OP could write a sort of "form letter" and ECF members could follow with a short post to support it. Possibly saying nothing more than "I agree. Debra T., Kentucky." Much like a petition, I guess.
It would make it very easy for people who might not otherwise get involved.

Just an idea
