Default God, Jesus, Church and Vapers

I decided to start this off-topic thread after reading a previous post about vaping in a Church.

Then the curiosity hit me. How many members on this forum who vape are dedicated Christians?

What I would like from this thread is a place were dedicated Christians can share their testimonies, talk about God and Jesus, ask for prayer and how they feel about vaping being an addiction that needs to be corrected.

Although I have no control over it, I would like other members that are not into God, to please not post any comments and/or jokes about our beliefs and allow us to be.

Those that come to this thread seeking God are more than welcome to take part with us and ask us whatever questions you may have about God and how God can better your life.

I am currenty the Music Director in my church and I am not ashamed to say that I love God and Jesus. I am not a religious fanatic but a Jesus Fanatic. God has made an incredible diffference in my life and today I wonder where I would be if it were not for him. He has saved my life and my marriage.

I have always prayed for a way to quit smoking because I know that it is a sin. I've tried many times and many different ways. Then along comes the e-cig. Although not perfect, and in my opinion, still not right, I believe that it is a step forward.

So my brothers and Sisters, what are your stories?

well then here I am...a Christian vapor! Although I must say, I'm not sure that vaping is a sin...afterall it's what comes out of a man that harms him not what goes into him (speaking of the heart). But who knows! It's a journey that we must all figure out ourselves with fear and trembling.

Love this post! Hope there are more to come!

    Hi, Welcome and God Bless!!

    Yes, your point is true.

But what is your take on your body being a temple of God / part of the body of Christ and our responsibility of keeping it safe, healthy and sound?

Joanna and I are both conservative Christians. Both raised in a Baptist home, and I believe we just found a Local Church here in the Nashville area where we feel at home! Longhollow Baptist (if anyone is wondering! )

Great thread Blue! I will share my testimony later when I get the chance!

I'm very happy to see this thread. Like Steve said, we are both believers and were raised in Christian homes. I personally have never smoked of vaped, but I do think that vaping is a big step forward from smoking. At least you're not inhaling all the cancer causing agents and tar that harm your body like a normal cigarette would do.

As for vaping in church, I doubt that your fellow churchgoers would be comfortable with it, as most probably would not know that it's not a real cigarette. If your body is the temple of God, the church is even more so, and if I was a vaper, I wouldn't do it while in church. Just my 2 cents. :-)

Hi Steve, Welcome and God Bless.

I am happy that you 2 are doing well and have found a Church to call home.

I look forward to your testimonies.

A note for everyone joining us...Steve is here as a fellow Christian to share and fellowship with us. Please do not ask him any Puresmoker related questions. Instead, go to the appropriate thread for that. I want to keep this thread true to it's topic.

    Thanks

Hello, Welcome and God Bless you Joanna,

I believe that all that join us will feel the same with regards to vaping inside a church. That was a conversation on another thread that led the Holy Spirit to put in my heart the idea to start this thread.

I look forward to hearing your testimony also.

    CAPITAL IDEA BLUE KNIGHT!
I'm sure there are many more faithful among the vapors and consider it an honor to publicly acknowledge Jesus on this forum. I teach an adult sunday school class and have never hidden the cigarette vice; however, it has prevented me from attending functions that I would have otherwise been in attendance. As a matter of fact one of our members approached me about the device and suggested I give it a try because I always spoke of wanting to be a non-smoker but not wanting to quit. Gave it a try and now have been smoke free for 34 days. Have been approached by other smokers in church now wanting to give it a try. God does work in mysterious and wonderous ways. God's speed always, and thanks for the thread.
