I don't Love my Map Tank...Why?

I had really high hopes for this thing. After several failed attempts at Dual Core Tanks, I thought this would cure the problems of carts blowing up in 4 days.

Here's the skinny: I got it today at noon. It's a 2.8 ohm. I filled it up and put it on my Buzz at 3.7V. Very, Very, Weak. Hit was non existent. I bumped it up to 4.5V and got a decent hit, but nothing like my Cool Carts from V4L.

Question is: Should I have gone with a lower 2.4 ohms, or should have I gone higher to a 3.2? Where's the throat hit?

P.S. I have about 1/4 of juice in the tank, I've turned it upside down a few times, but It still tastes like a burnt empty cart.

What kind of juice? How did u punch the carto? Which kind of carto? Alot of factors can effect it. I myself have zero problems with dct tanks from smoktech. I use both the short and long ones with short boge and xxl boges. Maube your hole isnt big enough? I use the 40 punch tool from CoV i think is where i got it... perfect holes everytime. No wicking issues even with 100% vg

I bought a pre punched hole in my DCT. It was low ohms which may explain why it only lasted 4 days. I just don't know why the MAP Tank won't hit well. I did find out that the Coolcarts that I've been using that hit well are 3.2 ohms. Maybe I should have gotten the 3.2 ohm CE2 for the MAP Tank to be able to run it a 4+ Volts. Any theories?

Well i run my lr boge cartos that are about 2.0-2.3 ohns at 4.9 volts, i have no issues with them... i never liked dual coil cartos.. ive used them 1 time and went right back to my boges.

Won't the LR Cartos get hot. Everything under 3 ohms in cart form, for me, heats ups in a hurry, and also makes my Buzz hot. BTW, where are you getting your Boges?

I run the duals 3ohm in my tanks for 5 v's and it's perfect...I also run boges at higher ohms and they work well too...

I would like to try the single coil Boges at 3.0 ohms. I would need a longer version & haven't been able to find them in the length I need to fit into my smoke tech tank. Any ideas?

You can try the Steel XL ReNEW cartos. They are single coil and 2.5 ohm.
