Hello. Been lurking for a few weeks, reading and getting informed, but now that my KB has finally arrived today, I'm coming out.

This being my first e-cig ever, I guess so far I'm pretty impressed, despite the atrocious battery charge wait.

Ludo: Why oh why does the charger only take in one battery? If I'm charging anyway, i might as well get them both juiced up. I can imagine that there are economical reasons for why you might not want to make this a standard feature, but perhaps an option for a double charger might work.

Am curious about feedback on the following issues:
    - Carts seem UBER wet on the sides, drops of liquid on the sides always. I tried several flavors and ended up with a weird mix of all of them because of this. I assume that if I leave it out vertically to drain onto a tissue, this gets sorted.
    - Some carts just won't click. This is very annoying since i tend to hold the thing in my teeth, and if the cart isn't in well I worry about the atomizer and the rest of it falling off the cart. Are these carts just borked? Or should I push like crazy?
    - Last but not least... is it me, or are the Janty flavors lack-luster? I've tried Mint, Apple, Coffee, Vanilla and Virginia. Of these Virginia had the strongest flavor, the mint comes in second, but it is a long ways away. Are the tastes supposed to be no more than a hint of a trace of an aftertaste? Are other juices far better when it comes to taste.

-The carts I had for the KB also came very wet on the sides and it was mixing with the primer or whatever the black liquid crap is and getting that all over the sides every time you put a cart in and took it out...very eww.

    - I had the same problem with the KB carts..they were almost all very hard to click in without feeling like you broke something.

-Yeah see I had that same lackluster taste problem with certain e-cig devices in the past...some just don't work great or have a problem that lessens or distorts the taste. Every flavor pretty much (save for some Johnson Creek ones) are very easy to taste and are strong..especially Janty ones. So far the only device that truly gave me the real and strong taste of every liquid I tried is my 901..I think its atomizer is the best because of that. Some other ones though don't allow you to taste the flavor nearly as strong. Try out a DSE901 Mini from one of the sites.

    Sorry to be OT.

    Wow........ I'm speechless.
You've owed a kiss box for a few hours and sent it back to Jeff.

How many carts did you use in those few hours?
And you see 'black liquid crap" on the outside of the cards?
geezz I like to see a pic. of that, because I never saw that for sure.

I use one card or less a day, and you used many, because you changed them "every time".

I see this no more as a Janty bashing.

I also remember an other thread you asking endless questions about the kiss, and you ended up buying an other device.
Because you did not have that much money.
Then all of a sudden you do own a kiss, and this is it.
    Wow.

    You like attention don't you?

How many carts did I use in that day? I TESTED plenty of them to try to figure out the problem and try to make it have a normal taste, but it didn't want to cooperate. I tried different flavored carts, empty carts which I filled up completely with my own liquid..every time I did anything and smoked a few times, it would come up with this stomach-churning taste that made me hate those flavors for the time being.
It's like if you have way too much tequila and then have the worst puking night and morning after that, you are probably gonna hate the taste or even though of tequila after that.

I'm not bashing Janty at all...everything else I've ever gotten from them has been perfect.
And the only reason I got another pen style to try before the KB was because it was nice and I wanted to try it out first before shelling out $150+ for a Janty...and that one happened to not work out either, barely had any vapor production, whether there was a problem with the 2 atomizers I got with it or it just wasn't what I was expecting. So that's why I sprung for the KB.

Put it this way, my 901 that I always rave about has always had near-perfect flavor compared to what the liquid in it is supposed to taste like, and near-perfect vapor production. So when I get a new device, yes..even if it should not be compared to a 901 because they are different...if that new one doesn't even come close to the flavor and vapor of my 901, I just know I won't ever come to like it. Why would I want to spend 3 times as much money on a pen style or whatever from somewhere, when my $45 901 is producing way better flavor and vapor and the parts for it are lasting long?
The only reason I am still on this mission to find a better device than that 901 is because I want the better battery and cart life. The KB had that but something was wrong messing up the taste no matter what I did, even after cleaning the atomizer, among other things. I didn't feel like waiting for a replacement part because I've done that before with other ones to no avail and I hate waiting (lol). So I figured I should look for something else since the thought of that taste just makes me cringe now. Besides, that's why they have return policies if you are unsatisfied.

Again, NOT bashing Janty at all..I love their service as well as everything else I have bought from there. This one thing just didn't work out though...gladly, several other buyers are happy with theirs so that's all that matters.

EDIT: Whoa whoa, you are saying you don't believe that there was liquidy black stuff around the cart every single time I took it out? You better fu*kin believe it kid because it's true. Every single time I took any cart out there was black **** running down the sides mixed with the e-liquid. And it wasn't from the cart, it was from the atomizer. I'm sure that was part of the taste problem. How dare you doubt what I say, I'm the most honest person you will ever meet. Other people on here have even claimed the same problem dude...go research a little.
In fact, there was even long pieces of glue-like stretchy stuff shoved down on each side of the bridge in the atomizer...I was barely able to grab every little piece out with a tweezer after 20 minutes of working on it. It was practically blocking the thing from working. I was in shock every time I reached down there with the tweezer and came up with more of this glue-looking ****. I didn't want to make it sound worse than it really was but when people say "ooohh I don't believe you" I feel I have to tell it all. So no offense, but get off my ass man.

LOL and you did all that within 24 hours of receiving and returning your kiss box.

Did you get anything else done today, beside using tweezers for 20 minutes on an brand new atomizer from Janty, cleaning a brand new atomizer and replacing cartridge after cartridge, and empty carts and filling them with your own liquid.
I guess you did not take the time to charge all the batteries they way you're suppose to.
Maybe the tequila got to you.

And dude I'm not a dude.
Now I'm going to be watching tv, see who the new president is going to be.

I had the one battery on charge the whole time while the other was sitting waiting for its charge, so I was using the USB chord and a fully charged 10440 battery in it...good enough for ya? That's just as good as the regular battery as it was still operating normally...so no problems there. The liquid was becoming vapor, that's all there is to it.

I had no work yesterday so I spent from the time of delivery (1 pm) till late late at night and half of today doing all this stuff...an ample amount of time to try everything as I am familiar with every method of troubleshooting an e-cig problem from owning them and from reading the forum.

Is there a reason you are still trying to talk back like I did something wrong? You're making me be an ass to you by being an ass to me for no reason...unnecessary. I just happen to be an enthusiastic fan of these things so I move quickly on anything that has to do with them.

Hi just.....i can verify the same issue as i have recently received a replacement atomiser from Janty and i cant get rid of the primer taste. carts are also like you describe,i didnt have this problem with my other 2 atomisers so i guess we were unlucky, i gonna email harry and see what he say's about it.
I think it's a shame you had to send it back because it normally performs so well and without that prob i'm sure you would of been well chuffed, never mind m8, but you do have every right to send back a product you are not happy with, dont see this as bashing Janty at all..........isn't this the point of this forum to post good and bad experiences, yes i think so........

Thanks doggsie, at least someone understands that if there's things you don't immediately like about a $150+ product, and you know those things will always bother you, then it's totally okay to return it and go try something else. I mean if the main point of the thing isn't working the way you expected it or wanted it to, why keep it any longer? Like I said, I move fast with things like that because it's a lot of money to some people. It's hard to let things linger and feel uncertain when you might want to spend your money elsewhere.

I am getting the same problem at the moment, with my KB carts recently. I believe I am over-heating the coil (by trying to get enough vapour) with repeated short intakes on the automatic. After inspecting the carts it looks like the filling is getting completely roasted; it's diminished in volume and is black. I have also noticed dark brown liquid residue on the sides of the cartridge on removing it.

I'm dripping on it at the moment to get around this, it's not ideal because I have rather a lot of Janty carts, but I'll probably just syringe the contents into bottles. I won't want to return it because I'm actually quite happy with it as a drip-pen, but I can see why you might not be.

I've ordered one of Trogg's Screwdrivers so I'll see how I get on with that

Yeah same was happening to my carts, on the inner sides of the filler it was turning brown only after a few inhales with the manual switch..it was definitely overheating/cooking that stuff. It seemed like the main cause of all the problems I had mentioned was that the atomizer was cooking everything too much too fast..I think. The taste would be affected by that every time.

I also ordered a Screwdriver in hopes that it will be the answer to my problems. I figure if the best experience I've gotten so far (usually) is with my 901b, then at least the taste part of it can't be bad with the Screwdriver which uses the same atomizer. Add that to the better battery and switch, and I can't really foresee a problem. But then again the fact that there's a manual switch like the KB, I hope it also doesn't cook things too much or anything! We'll see soon...
