It really was a great day. Even school cooperated. I didn't get out early but I did get my hair and makeup done while I was there so that was cool. When I walked in the door Thomas said "wow" and that gave me the warm fuzzies.

Something weird happened though. All evening I kept noticing things looked hazy. When we were walking to the Elk's I said something about the fog to Thomas and he informed that it wasn't foggy outside at all..weird. Then this morning I get my coffee and sit down at the computer and there is a fog on the screen. I kept rubbing at my eyes and it wasn't getting better. I have reading glasses that I sometimes use when I am doing nail art and my eyes get tired but I don't wear them very often. I went and grabbed them up just to "test" and sure enough the fog is gone. I think I lost some eyesight yesterday

I liked that bliss, and then unliked it when I read about your eyes. Maybe you're not used to the eyestrain of doing nails again? Could be you just need to get a bit of rest. I hope that's all it is.

Yeah, I am hoping that is what it is too. I haven't even been taking my glasses to school. But I haven't noticed what I call the "jiggle". It's what happens to me when my eyes get tired, they feel like they kinda jiggle. It's just weird. I keep thinking about a convo I had with my mom about how one night she went to bed and could read her book just fine, the next night the words were all blurry. I guess I will be scheduling an eye dr appt soon *sigh*

Oh my, not liking foggy eyes. I do like that you WOWed Thomas! Way to go, that's not so easy after 15 years.

Sallie, what happened to you? I didn't see that you fell? Did you go to the Dr. yet?

Drott: If you get tired of cleaning the shack, I know of a hut that could use some help.

    Oh my. Poor Sallie!
Tip for avoiding housework: evil glare and hand the dustrag to anyone who dares say anything about the condition of the house/shack/hut. I personally have formally introduced Mr. V to the washer and dryer. They are now on first name terms.

I fell on the front steps yesterday morning. Granite step covered with ice. It's possible I cracked a rib, but I checked in with a nurse friend of mine. She said as long as my breathing is normal and I'm not in excruciating pain, there is nothing they will do for me except send me home and tell me to take Advil. My breathing is fine, and I'm in less pain today. I skipped the ER and went straight to the Advil.

You were probably losing it gradually and your eyes compensated for it.It does sneak up on you. Please go to the eye Dr. and tell him/her though.Make sure your eyes other than being foggy are healthy..It's probably from doing all the close up nail work you've been doing for the past couple of weeks.I hope everyhting is O.K.
How old are you Bliss? I started losing my reading sight mid 40's but I wasn't doing any kind of close up work to strain my eyes.
Funny story: My best friend wore glasses from 5th grade on and when she got older she of course like everyone needed reading glasses as well.So he got the progressives. About 6 months ago her eyes like went bad overnight. Her glasses did nothing to help and she got scared and of course made an appt with the ophthalmologist. He kept asking how long she had been wearing glasses and she told him since elementary school. He kept retesting her eyes with glasses on and glasses off. Finally after she told him she was getting a little scared he said. :"This is unbelievable"
"Your eyesight is perfect" You needn't wear you glasses for reading or driving. They are 20/20.
Sure enough she no longer has need of her glasses. What a happy ending. LOL

OMG how come I didn't read that? Hopefully you only bruised it and it will stop hurting. I'm so sorry that happened.
