No freaking way. I was just told I can not adopt Buster. The man from the rescue does not feel that he would be an appropriate fit for my family. Tried to push a different dog on me and when I said no to her he hung up on me. OMFG, I am so angry I am shaking.

No, he's not aggressive. I've read some reviews on this place and it's all what an incredible jerk this guy is.

No news on Lily at all.

Mr. V said rescue people are collectors, they don't really want homes for the dogs. It scares me that I gave this guy my DL # and all my personal info.

That makes me sad and angry. What's the point of having people fill out 8-page applications and go though the process only to have their dog picked for them?

Bummer FV.Some of the rescues go to extremes.I find this especially true with the ones that work with Rotties and Pitts,Even if there mixed.But theres no way he should have said or did what he did.JMO.I drove an hour for a greet and meet to have it end in less than 5 mins because they didn't like the way the 2 looked at each other.Hubby was proud of me that day.He thought sure I would go off and rip them a new one.

Thanks Drott. I understand why they go to extremes, but this guy really is a nut job. I have never been spoken to like that in my life. Not even my drunken ex made me feel this bad.
He refused a meet and greet, said it takes at least 6 months for dogs to get to know each other. He chooses the dog, you don't. Since when do you not get to choose?
So, I have officially given up.

I got one of the Blue Panthers. It was my 3rd (any) choice. I got the PM after Jon said there were only 5 left but 4 more pages of PMs. Whew. It will be my first Lavatank.
