Some people use either a little bit of distilled water or ethanol to thin out otherwise pure VG liquids. By itself, VG is too viscous for some wicking materials and/or delivery systems. As mentioned by retired1, tho, it probably has something to do with flavor extraction.
I heard some use booze in their DiY for throat hit.
TFA (part of perfumers apprentice that does flavors) has a few liquors. I imagine you could mix a few flavors to come up with something similar to Jaggermeister. Perfumers Apprentice - Tea, Soda and Liqueur Flavors
