Default PG flavourless nic liquid, why?

This may have been asked before but I couldn't find any threads so I'm asking here.

Why are some pg flavourless nic liquids an orange colour and some are clear? I ordered from 2 different sources and the same mg level but different colours.

    Thanks

Nicotine can develop a yellow/orange color from heat or light.
Not necessarily a bad thing, as it probably won't impact taste or smell.
If exposed too long it cold degrade.

So basically it is better to buy the clear pg nic liquid as apposed to the coloured then because it would be fresher/newer right?

    Mom,

If it has no taste, there really isn't a difference.

With that said, yeah, we tend to like the clear-er ones, or, at least, I do.

I have used both and had no difference in the final mix, but I like working with the clear. Got some pink nic juice once and that was a bit odd, but it tasted fine.

(So use the tinted first, or I would...)

The discoloration is not from heat or light, it is from a reaction with air. Only nicotine that hasn't been exposed to air will remain clear, and it's not really indicative of the age, especially since nicotine doesn't go bad until well after the PG does. As the rest said, there's no real problem with coloration.
