Great work, and such a simple method! I may try this one.

One caution, though...watch out for those baby bottles...although there are now so many xeno-estrogens floating around in the environment that adult exposure from a bottle may be minimal.

Please keep us posted on how your mixture pans out.

That seems like a lot of flavoring for 30 ml. Is it strong tasting?

Dated March 6, 2009:
"The six largest manufacturers of baby bottles will stop selling bottles in the United States made with bisphenol A, a controversial chemical widely used in plastics but increasingly linked to a range of health effects.

Commonly called BPA, the chemical mimics the hormone estrogen and may disrupt the body's endocrine system. Public health advocates say it poses a particular danger to fetuses, infants and children because BPA can interfere with cell function at a point when their bodies are still developing.

Over the past decade, more than 130 studies have linked BPA to breast cancer, obesity and other disorders. In September, the study of BPA in humans found adults with higher levels of bisphenol A had elevated rates of heart disease, diabetes and liver abnormalities. Last year, researchers at the Yale School of Medicine linked BPA to problems with brain function and mood disorders in monkeys. "

Thanks for the warning about the baby bottles.

The main reason I added the Butter Rum in the first place was because the PG/SNUS mix by itself gave a slight aftertaste. I guess you could add less, but I like the taste of Butter Rum, and is good for me, and no more aftertaste with this mix.

I have several experiments going. One is with one can of snus, 2tbsp coffee grounds and vodka only. It has been sitting for about two weeks. I want to let it sit for 20 days and then add VG.

I have another one working. I put one tbsp vodka, one tbsp distilled water, half of a full size Cuban cigar and topped with glycerin in a 2oz container. It has been working for one week.

I just started one today with black tea, tbsp vodka, tbsp H2O and glycerin.
I shake them once every day and hope for the best.

bty, I found a redbull energy shot at CVS. It comes in a 2oz food grade container with a screw cap. That is what I am using for fermentation containers.

Anyone with ideas on how to finish off the product? I'm all ears. I am mostly concerned with % of water, vodka and glycerin. Defiantly having fun.

I have a ton of "loose" snus. The stuff that the swedes themselves called "redneck snus". I'm a huge fan of Roda Lacket, and Ettan. I'm going to mix this loose snus in large amounts with PG, let it sit for a long time, then filter the heck out of it. Then I'll add PG to flavor. I'm thinking this is going to work very well.

So far I've tried the shot-glass method with 4 pouches of Nick and Johnny original portion, 4 pouches of Skruf Strong, and eight mini-pouches of CatchDry White Eucalyptus. Full shot glasses, about 40 hours sitting, squeezed out steeped with two spoons. Here are the results:

Skruf Strong: Tastes friggin weird, but the kind of weird you could start to enjoy. Has to be the Rose Oil in it.

CatchDry White Eucalyptus : Tastes amazingly good. Not like a menthol smoke, but something hard to put your finger on. Your lips tingle.

Nick and Johnny original Portion: I'm glad I have 3 rolls of this stuff in the freezer. The tobacco flavor is amazing. This is easily as good as any strong tobacco flavored e-juice I've ever tried.

Thing is, I can't tell how much nicotine I'm getting. I know it's there, but I can't gauge it. It *feels* like a low to mid amount. I've mainly been using this snus-juice to cut stronger liquids down from 36mg since I've mainly been using 18-11mg stuff lately. It's great for that. Haven't made anything bad tasting yet. Hope this helps.

Let's see if I can remember how I did the math on this...

According to Nick and Johnny Snus, Nick & Johhny's, for example, contains about 11mg/g per pouch. A 2 ounce shot glass is about 59.130mL, or 59.130g. If you were to extract every bit of nicotine out of the pouches (highly unlikely), you'd end up with 44mg of nicotine in 59g (59,000mg) of fluid. This gives approximately a 0.074% nicotine content, which roughly translates to 0.74mg/g at most.

It may be a bit disappointing, but I'm experimenting with liquid manufacture to A) extend supplies of "store bought" liquids, and B) to provide a low nicotine alternative once I ween myself off the nicotine. With those goals in mind, low nicotine content is actually more attractive.

One thing I will say in complete honesty. 4 nick and johnny's in a shot glass for 40 hours in PG tastes better *to me* than anything johnson creek has ever produced. You have to try it to understand. It's the kind of good tasting that makes you wonder if it's unhealthy somehow.

I'm just wondering if I were to take a pack of reds, take all the tobacco out of the cigs and soak that it in a combination of pg/vg for sometime, and after straining it would the liquid taste anything like reds when i vape it???
I once thought this might cure my urge for a Marlboro menthol when I first started vaping......but then I thought, "my switch to ecigs was to avoid the chemicals in the cigarettes and cost of them." Why not just smoke the analogs if I were to do that?
