Ok I am new here..plaease forgive my ignorance. Doesnt the snus have all the chemicals we are trying to get away from in the analog? or is it pure tobacco without chemicals?? Is snus like chewing tobacco or different because in a bag? I really really want more of a smoke tobacco flavring.. I am having a hard time finding this. I am willing to try if its gonna work but I dont want to if all the bad stuff is in it. Also is the reason many of these vapors sweet because of glycerin? Is there anything else aside from Glycerin like pg to make with? does pg have sweetener in it? Sorry soo many questions! |

Snus health articles American snus is more harmful than Swedish snus, but both are massively safer than smoking tobacco. Also remember that the nicotine in e-liquid is tobacco extract. You might find some of the threads in the smokeless tobacco forum interesting. | |

So i tried to extract tea flavoring and caffeine out of a tea bag using the same method as the snus. the results are...strange. didn't really extract all that much tea...but i was just using room temperature PG, but i let it sit for about 11 hours today before vaping it. color was darker than the tobacco though. I think i'll need to retry this experiment with a regular teabag though. i used a Snapple lemon flavored black tea bag instead of your standard lipton flavorless crap. i can definitely taste the lemon flavoring, and i can taste the tea as well, but the amazing thing is vaping the caffeine. it hits you way way way harder than just digesting caffeine. you can feel the boost in energy within 2-3 minutes of vaping...it feels pretty damn good. i haven't tried mixing the caffeine and the nicotine yet though...i'd assume the results would be a trucker's wet dream. |

Hmmm... I have wild tobacco growing in my yard.... once you have these plants get going they just keep growing... I wonder how much nic I can get by simmering and reducing? What is with these proposed FDA bans? Are they crazy? I am new to this.... Is PG a good way to extract flavor from coffee? |

Snus is what remains after all the tobacco has had most of the nicotine steam-vaped from the plant material. The starting product is a low-grade, low-nicotine, cutting/scrap. The addition of near-zero scrap, is used to offset the variation in nicotine, but helps to keep the tobacco flavor. What do you do with 100,000,000 lbs of stale tobacco that no-longer has the high-level of nicotine required for smoking, due ot oxidation and nasty stale-taste? You snus it! It is essentially nicotine-tea, which is made for oral consumption. I am not sure how good it is to inhale, as it is not the "Same", chemicals in the smoked tobacco. (Flavorings and sugars are added for taste, to hide the bitterness of the leaf.) In any event, you are doing the world a favor by using snus. You are reducing the waste of product, and decreasing processing losses for the companies. (That is part of the reason they can afford to package them in tins, and as packets.) On the "Nicotine" perspective... I would personally say that this is the safest way to self-extract nicotine for personal consumption. As opposed to leading to a possible OD, while attempting to extract nicotine from full-leaf tobacco.) Even at 6mg each packet... 5 packets would yield around 30mg potential. I am not even sure if PG or VG can extract nicotine, but nicotine seems to dissolve into anything, and PG and VG can bond to water... Thus, if the nicotine is in water, inside the leaf, it should come-out with the PG or VG. (Remember, both of those are solvents. They will remove most water-based and oil-based chemicals from the tobacco.)

now I wonder if I could take my turkish blend 24mg liquid, put a pinch of bugler tobacco (also Turkish Blend) in a small few drops of it, let it soak, and get the liquid out of that and use that and get even more flavor
