Is it just me - Lorann's Strawberry question?

Hi Folks,

One of the Lorann's I got was strawberry (I ***LOVE*** strawberry!) and it is just horrid.

Tried a very *tiny* taste on end of finger out of the bottle and that was worse, thought I was going to have to scrape the kitty box to get the taste out of my mouth :-/ (fortunately a soft drink killed it after a few swigs).

Could I have gotten a bad bottle? The Orange Creme is excellent.

I'm confused.

would say that its way too concentrated to be tasting undiluted, it should tone down a lot if mixed with the right levels of VG/PG Nic Juice. However i have found in the past that once i tasted a flavour concentrate straight its hard to enjoy it dilute as your brain seems to remember the bad taste somehow - (Orange cream for me) but im guessing it will wear off after a while.

Try Strawberry kiwi in the mean time an do not taste or vape unmixed! There are threads on here for the right amount to mix in.

I use Lorann's Strawberry a LOT and I think it's really good. It does need to be diluted though... all of Lorann's flavors do. They are super concentrated.

I'll look for recipes using strawberry and see what goes on before doing anything radical.

Funny in that the Orange Cream and Cheesecake took like 20 drops to get close to flavor desired, perhaps I need far less with the strawberry. Both of those from a sniff at the open bottle, at worse, had the basic smell.

Well, I can tell you that Strawberry is a lot stronger than Cheesecake. When I make a strawberry cheesecake flavor, I use at least 4 times more Cheesecake than Strawberry.

Walrus...I have tried the PS Cash Strawberry and found it to be quite tasty...How does the LorAnne's compare in taste?...I have some unflavored TW..and was thinking of giving it an infusion of the Strawberry..Also have you had the LorAnnes's Watermelon?..reason I am asking is that I found a 4 pack on the shelf of a local supermarket that has those two flavors in the pack...ThanksThe Wiz!

I went looking through the forum for recipes using the Lorann's strawberry and only found one:

strawberry cheesecake/ can sub the strawberry for cherry or anyfruity flavor you want

started with a base of 36mg from juicy liquid cut down to 12mg with vg

i usually only make small batches to start

2ml of 12mg nic juice
.5ml of cheesecake flavor my loranne
.5ml of strawberry (can be adjusted for light or heavy flavor depending on what you want)

you can also add
.5ml vanilla for an almost strawberry shortcake taste

Not much help, but I may give that one a go.

But I'd really prefer just strawberry, perhaps Walrus or someone who has mixed up a strawberry vape might share a recipe?

I may be screwing up here, but I'll present it for critique :

I am making VERY small batches to see if I like something, worked out well with the Zenith Cherry and banana as well as with the Lorann's Orange Cream.

I don't want to waste expensive e-juice (36mg Unflavored TW (for now)) so I have been using straight VG in place of that. PG seems to have an odd undertaste but maybe that is a REQUIRED ingredient?

Anyhow, the god awful strawberry recipe I used went like this (1mg test batch):

Lorann's strawberry: 8 drops (0.8mL)(40%)
VG: 12 drops (1.2mL)(60%)

No PG, water, alcohol or e-juice.

Kitty box smelled better than that tasted :-(.

All comments, suggestions, criticisms appreciated!

Final note, I got some Janty strawberry and it had almost no flavor at all which is what inspired me (helped along by Walrus ) to get into this.

No, I don't seem to have a clue, but I am trying :-).

Wiz- LorAnns watermelon is my absolute favorite flavor so far- I haven't used it on its own, but have added it to EST watermelon, to "bump" up the flavor. It turns the watermelon from an organic "true" watermelon to a kind of candy-like watermelon flavor. Of course i do like the EST on its own, but sometimes i do like vaping on a watermelon jolly rancher.

To me the strawberry has too much of a floral taste, but I haven't tried mixing it, so just my $.20

I thought LorAnns strawberry was horrid too. I added a couple of drops to enhance some strawberry e-liq and it ruined the entire bottle. Then I did the DIY and got the same results. That stuff has a nasty aftertaste but is sure smells good.
