Go to your local liquor store and buy Everclear or Clear Spring - that is the ethanol we're talking about.
Grumpster is saying his ratio of ethanol / menthol crystals is 34% ethanol / 66% menthol crystals.

Ethanol is basically just 95% pure 190 proof grain alcohol, also known as Everclear. As long as you don't live in a dry county you should be able to find it in a well stocked liquor store. In the store I buy from it's near the vodka and they also have the small bottles behind the counter.
You won't need much so buy the smallest bottle they have. It'll last you for years and then some.
If you can't find Everclear then any strong spirit like Vodka should work as well. Stick with spirits instead of liquors. Liquors have sugars and such that will clog your atty. Spirits are more pure and shouldn't harm your atty.
Don't worry about the high alcohol content getting you messed up or something. Assuming your using 3 ml of juice a day, and use a strong menthol mix of 2 drops per ml then your only vaping 4 actual drops of alcohol in a entire day. Even my wife isn't that much of a alcolhol lightweight.

I wouldn't count on that. I'm still waiting for my menthol crystals to arrive and I've already gone through 2 bottles of Everclear!
I'm such a lush.

I was talking about menthol drops silly. Other uses such as mouthwash are a different story entirely. Now, if we were talking about vodka, that's a different story. Where's the OJ?

Has anyone tried taking mint leaves and cooking them down in alchole?

Mint leaves is a different taste than menthol. Menthol has a lot of eucalyptus in it.
Besides, I'd be afraid to use Everclear to cook anything down. Everclear is almost pure alcohol and very flammable. You'd end up with a fire very easily. If I were to try to cook anything down, I'd stick with water. Get it down to almost a paste, then dilute it with alcohol after it's removed from the fire.
You might try Googling phraises like home made extracts or something like that.

Hey guys I live in Ireland and I'm having a hard time trying to find Everclear anywhere, is there anything else I can use as a substitue? I was thinking about using vodka, would that be a bad idea??
