I placed my first order from puresmoker on Friday and am anxiously waiting to get my very first e-cig (well I actually ordered 2 different types and a ton of other stuff

) All the recipes that y'all are mixing up are making me even more anxious and HUNGRY
Basically just wanted to post and say hi and thank you all for such a great informative thread. I soooo hope this is going to be the thing that gets me off these disgusting things. I've been smoking since I was 17 and I am so ready to find something that will finally help me stop
I look forward to mixing up yummy things with you all in the very very near future.
Have a great day everyone.
Hi Silky
Will be nice to have another "mad recipe" creator join in! I'm guessing you'll love e-cigs like we do... and making up your own juice recipes makes it even more fun!

LOL Lu, I was considering it, but I was worried that Steve would enlist me to help him carry the 800 boxes, from the orders he got on Friday, to the post office
Have a great Tuesday, I'm off to get some sleep, my eyes are crossing from reading so many posts on this forum

Also doing a simple (and not very scientific) experiment I dripped some of the LorAnn flavors on a hot pan to see what sort of residue they left behind it seems that Yellow 5 and Blue 1 in their Creme to Menthe leave very little to nothing, but Red 40 in peach leaves behind some visible residue, the worst were Caramel Coloring in Root Beer and Vanilla Butternut, left massive amounts of residue.
Cool... I will have to check out AmericanSpice.com
I use Creme de Menthe and Peach and caramel (didn't like rootbeer). I only add 1 or 2 drops of peach to the peach VG from JC and 1 or 2 drops of the creme de menthe to the arctic mint VG from JC and the caramel I have used to mix my own flavors or add to the tennessee cured. I use the flavors that have colors in VERY small amounts (1-2 drops per ML or so) and I have not had any adverse reactions yet (and I am sensitive to EVERYTHING lol!).... so... while I do not advicate putting artificial colors in your lungs.. I am not dead from it yet.
I do not however use anything that says it is not "water soluble".. strictly cause I care more about my atomizers than my lungs. Is that so wrong?

What if we are not sensitive to aspirin?

Isn't the wintergreen from lorann not water soluble?

Why does this sound so odd to me?

FDC Yellow Number 5

Spikey--FDC Yellow Number 5 (Tartizine) is one of the very very food colorings that must be actually disclosed that it is in a product because of cross-sensitivites with not only aspirin but a host of issues. As reitereated here:
Dipalma JR.
Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Tartrazine (FD & C Yellow No. 5) is an approved azo dye present in many drugs and food products. During the 1970s, many cases of tartrazine sensitivity were reported. This led to new regulations that required the listing of azo dyes on package inserts of drugs and on packages of food products. Tartrazine sensitivity is most frequently manifested by urticaria and asthma. Although azo dyes have been implicated in accentuating hyperkinetic syndromes, tartrazine is not considered an offender. Vasculitis, purpura and contact dermatitis infrequently occur as manifestations of tartrazine sensitivity. Cross-sensitivity in aspirin-sensitive and NSAID-sensitive patients may also occur. The mechanism of sensitivity is obscure and has been called pseudoallergic. Management consists mainly of avoidance of drugs and food products that contain tartrazine.
PMID: 2239641 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE
So I point that out as we do not know how people will react to actually vaping Yellow 5---Many people are allergic to it but do not even know it because all they present is a headache which they attribute to something else----
As for the Wintergreen, you are right on there--it is a no go for our atomizers---Sun

I am not a doctor so I cannot say with authority but since the issue isn't heat if you can ingest it without problem you can likely smoke it.
Methyl Salicylic is slightly soluble, it will dissolve but you may have to skim the surface afterward to get rid of the excess if you overload the solution.
