So, I went to the pharmacy around 10:30 last Friday and asked the pharmacist if it was possible to get Propylene Glicol.
- (Looking at the computer screen) Yes, it is.
- Comes in bottles of...
- Minimum 1 Litre.
- And how much...?
- Around €7. But I have to check with the suppliers because I don't have any here. You could come back around 18:00.
- Ok.
I returned at 18:00, another pharmacist gave me the glass bottle, I paid, said thank you and left the place with 1 Litre of Pharmaceutical Propylene Glicol.
As soon I got into the street I was approached by two policemen (just kidding here).
No problem around here in getting it.
And by the way I already vape it straight and aside a small headache and a little dry throat it tastes good. The headache could be because the lack of nicotine, I ended all my e-liquid and the new one didn't arrive yet, so I'm dry just on PG vapour.
Maybe it's your state, I just returned from Walgreen's in Michigan picking up my PG that I had them order for me yesterday with no problem. I got 16oz for $12.79 or something like that. I think that the person you dealt with was either clueless or the law is different in your state. For the record, I did have to tell the pharmacy exactly what I wanted, I had to explain I wanted the PG that is liquid like they use for mixing compounds, once I said that the eyes lit up in recognition of what the hell I was talking about.
I also picked up some Fluval water polishing pads today and those look like they will be better material for filling the carts with than the polyfill crap they put in there now. I can't wait to start a fresh cart to see how that does.
Good luck, try asking them at other places explaining that you want the liquid PG like they use in mixing compounds...hopefully they won't look at you like your wearing donkey ears or something.
Sorry if this was already answered but here is the best way to get PG.
hint: To treat livestock ketosis
So go to TSC or your local hillbilly farm supply store (not walmart, but a real farmer store that sell seed and feed) and ask for Ketosis treatment. You will get a 1 gallon jug for 30-40 bucks (lifetime supply). It is vetrinary grade so its good enough for human consumption. Read the ingrediants to make sure its just PG. The bottle I got was labled PG.
A quote on my self
I went partly to analogs again (e-juice didn't arrive yet) to test whether the headache was due to the lack of nicotine, but apparently not.
I'm begining to think that using pure PG is not the best option. Anyone want/ can share experiences about this? Is it safe?

Hi. It's not a matter of dryness, I have the good habit of drinking at least 1,5 L of water a day and don't feel the need to drink more because of PG.
It's just this anoying headache caming and going and I started to think that it was because of the pure PG I'm vaping.
Is Vegetable Glycerine 100% natural?
it makes sense.
Ketosis just means that the body is producing ketones, which mean's its burning fat as short-term energy instead of carbohydrates. This is bad if you want the cow to be producing quality milk or gain quality weight for slaughter. (but good if you're on a low-carb diet! hehe)
VG is pretty much sugar, at least that's how the body processes it.
Not 100% sure with PG, though i'd assume the same is true.
