hi everyone, hope it isn't uncool of me to make this my first post but...

VG is commonly used in home liqueur making; as a thickener/sweetener. if there's a homebrewing shop nearby you can try that too. might be more expensive than the pharmacy, probably the same price as in health food stores.

Candle and soap makers use Glycerin all the time, just be sure it has USP or Kosher on the label. Here's a link to some suppliers, Glycerine Where To Buy - Health & Beauty - Compare Prices, Reviews and Buy at NexTag - Price - Review

walked into a farm and fleet yesterday to see what they had. 1 gallon 100% usp propylene glycol for about $21 may get it in the future. anyone in the madison, wi area want to split a gallon of pg? that much would last forever.

Looks like the FDA wants to make our beloved PG purer which sounds good.

Hot Topics: USP Propylene Glycol and Sorbitol Solution Information

From the site it is "These efforts are to assist in preventing future diethylene glycol (DEG) and ethylene glycol (EG) adulteration."

With regards to properly labeled USP PG.

Went and picked some up today at CVS. Asked the young lady at the pharmacy and she said she thought she saw some in the toothpaste isle. I was in no hurry and was curious so I looked, it wasn't there so I went back to the counter. After asking the pharmacist he asked me what I wanted for. I said my ecig, he said "your what?" so I pulled out my xhaler and explained. He said "I don't want to know, I'm supposed to be one my lunch" and went to the back. The woman looked it up on the computer after I spelled it for her and, to her surprise, they will have it tomorrow. I think she said 13$.

I ordered a couple of bottles of flavorings from Capella's and ordered 2 4 ounce bottles of PG for $2.95 each. The nice thing was that shipping for the PG and two bottles of flavoring was around $3.00

    Any ideas?
A friend of mine who is a long time farmer, and someone who recherches just about every thing for the fun of it said that the main difference between food grade and the stuff you get at the feed store is the cost of insurance. a lot of the time the feed store product is over runs of food grade stuff.
