    Question Balancing flavor/nic level/vapor

Need some advice from the experts here on balancing my e-liquid.

I chain smoked light menthol analogs for the past 10 yrs so my taste buds/sense of smell aren't the greatest.

I have some plain 48 & 36 mg PG, VG, some Lorann and Cappella, and some flavored PG 24mg eliquids. The premade e-liq is too weak in the taste dept for me.

I LOVE lots of vapor but I also want strong taste and high nic level.

Before I got my 510, I briefly had an LTV9 and some vanilla catomizers. They smelled and tasted good and had lots of vapor.

I'm waiting for one of the suppliers to get in some 48 VG - seems eveyone I look at has supply problems.

If you know a US supplier who does have plain 48mg VG in stock... pls let me know.

I have tried 2/3 48mg and 1/3 VG as a 24mg base then experiment adding flavors. But I have to add so much, the nic level and vapor production suffers.

Do you think this is the answer - plain VG 36 or 48, then cut with straight flavoring?

Or would you start with some already flavored high nic VG juice and just add more flavoring to get a stronger taste? (seems like I would have to start with at least a 36 mg if I'm going to add flavoring to it - the more I add the more diluted the nic level would be.)

Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Download my ejuice calculator for excel or use the online ejuice calculator This way you can shoot for you target nic mg with just flavor or with a little VG. So to make 10ml of 28mg juice from 48mg with 20% flavoring.

You would use the following ratios.

PG or VG with nicotine 5.8 ml or 116 dropsPG
VG (no nicotine) 2.2 ml or 44 drops
Water 0.0 ml or 0 drops
    Flavoring(s) 2.0 ml or 40 drops

    Hope this helps

    Default dilution/concentration calling all pharmacists

I have 20ml of 36mg/ml nic sol. How much 0 nic do I add to this to get 6mg/ml? Also can you give me any easy formula to use?

    36 / 6 = 6
    6 * 20 = 120 ml
    120 - 20 = 100

So 100 ml of no nic juice added to 20ml of 36mg nic juice would yield 120ml of 6mg nic juice.

I was hesitant about DIY liquids because I figured I'd be wasting lots and lots of niquid. Then I found your calculator and it bumped me over the edge...I think I'll try for myself now that this makes so much more sense. Thank you!

If you want to make mixing simple, have you had a look at intellicig's new unflavoured liquid - Krystal, and their 'dilution' liquid - ECOmix? (link here: ECOpure E-Liquid : Electronic Cigarettes, Electric Cigarette, E-Cigarettes, E-Cig, E-Liquid )

Basically, Krystal is a 36mg VG unflavoured, and ECOmix takes the place of the added PG/VG/distilled water/alcohol and takes away any problems of getting the consistency right. (Of course, there's nothing preventing you using the ECOmix with any other e-liquid either)

All you would need to do is take the Krystal and add ECOmix and flavouring to dilute to required strength.

I haven't tried it yet, but I plan on doing so in the very near future!
