Default Newbie DIY Question #2! Pls advise!

So I was initially looking for just a drop to add to my juice and you all answered that. But now I went over to Wizard labs and saw HOW CHEAP!!! This is!! OMG! OMG!! So I'm vaping JC which is PG.

My question: What stops me from ordering a 60mg/nic bottle from wizards labs and mixing it with a same sized PG bottle to create a 30mg/ml stock solution (I vape 10-24 or so). Then tossing in some of their flavors and "playing" around until I get a simple vape I enjoy (meaning one core flavor).

Cause JC is like $16/30ml... And it looks like wizard labs I can get 120ml/$8 plus the cost of the flavor %.

Am I missing some ingredients? Anything else?

I really don't want to get sucked into DIY but 3-4 solid, simple fun flavors that are waaayyyyy cheaper than ordering them would be cool!

    TY!

Learn the math, or find an on-line calculator you trust.

Learn a little about nic safety.

And yes, it is that easy.

    Start small.

    Have fun, be safe.

Nothing stopping you! You can save a ton of cash, that is of course if you don't buy hundreds of flavors like some of us...lol. Go through the forum, there are a lot of good recipes! When you mix up something, start with a very small amount. Most people do 3ml.Then if all is OK and you like it - make more.

Thanks! I have a chem background so it's not like it's a hassle to deal with nic or calculations...

I was simply wondering if adding a few drops of some base flavors to a stock solution would work well... I see talk here about steeping, adding sweeters, EM... So I was just wondering if a 30 ml stock PG juice with a basic flavor would really make for a viable vape or if I'd have to start dealing with letting it sit 2 weeks, adding sweeteners, etc.

So could I just go over to WL--add 5% butterscotch or blueberry or something simple to my 30 base (% adjusted to my taste) and actually make a simple tasty vape? Or would I find a need to steep, deal with sweetners, other stuff... etc?

Edit: WOW! WL has the nic in a carrier base!! No need to even order my PG!!

There is a difference between "vapable" and "great" juice. That difference is as vast as your sense of taste makes it.

Mine makes it huge so there are EM's, sweeteners, steeping and all manner of unicorn tears and butterfly farts going on. Some mixers can kinda' almost measure a flavor into an unexact base and be as happy as a cat in a sunbeam without any of those butterfly fart thingy's.

So, where do you fall in that measure? Once you know that, you'll know how much other stuff you'll need to deal with.

I'm really not so picky... I don't need many unicorn farts to make me happy... I vape a low and high nic blend of JC summer peach mixed with apple cider and that's it. I just want my nic! JC is smoother to my sinuses. All the Flavored chinese juices from different vendors seemed to irritate my nose/throat and seemed "harsh". In fact, I had some 36mg Bloog grape some time ago and it seemed real harsh on my sinuses. JC lists: PG, food grade glycerol, water, art flavor, nat flavor, nic, cirtic acid as their ingredients. Maybe the glycerol mellows the sinus hit for me? I like JC the best and don't want to go back to raw sinuses.
Cause the VFL, Bloog stuff from grape to butterscotch to coffee seems to really tear up my lungs/sinuses. I'm not sure the PG or PG/VG ratio but that's NOT what I want in a DIY! JC seems thicker and smoother.

    Any thoughts?

Ralkar, it really is that easy. Especially since you have a chem background, get some 1ml and 5ml syringes and clean (or new, since you will be ingesting this) graduated cylinders for measuring. If you are using different liquids, drops are not very accurate, and is tedious at best.

In small test batches it's much more accurate than drops, and in large batches, it's bad to lose count...

I feel so much better after vaping a while, and I didn't think I felt bad before.

and don't read a bunch of flavor reviews, or watch people vaping "awesome" tasting juice on youtube.
