I have found a website that sells coloring for vaping, Its a water and PG mix only. And only offers a few colors, but hey I'm up for it as long as it is safe. here is the link, http://www.ecigexpress.com/flavoring...loring-c-16_54

@Icon Yes the flavoring is suspended in pg and h20. However, that is most likely safe. It is the dye that could be hazardous. A suggestion is looking up the MSDS sheet on the particular dye you are seeking. Dye is still a chemical. Good luck!

Dyes are manufactured as powders, granules, liquids or other special purpose forms. They can be used in beverages, dry mixes, baked goods, confections, dairy products, pet foods, and a variety of other products. Food coloring dye's are harmless. To add a PG, water base only food coloring in your E-juice would only take about 1/4 of a drop or less, for a 10ml bottle. That is not much at all. I'm going to experiment with it, It can not be as bad as inhaling paint fumes all day by a paint sprayer. I can give MANY more examples to what we breath in on a day to day base, Hair spray, perfume, Body spray, Car exhaust, farts, etc. Most of which have dyes in them too. I'm for it, unless someone could show me facts not to. I think having my "blue" juice would be cool.

Any answer other than ,"We do not know", is speculation.

The truth is ,yes , we are exposed to chemicals and dyes on a daily basis. Studies have been done on exposure limits to most chemicals (MSDS). Food dyes are GRAS for eating . Vaping is a whole other deal.

    Fact :
We may inhale paint fumes . We do not vape them . Same goes for hair spray ,perfume , body spray, car exhaust and farts (unless of course someone has a fetish).

I just feel that your justification for it being ok to vape colors because we eat food coloring is misleading to those reading the forum. We all justify our own actions in life with reasoning . Sometimes our reasoning is logical . Other times , not so much. This is just an observation , not questioning nor judging your personal reasoning capabilities or choices . Most of us are vaping some food coloring. It is a chance we take . Until further studies are done, vaping flavors and food coloring is the big unknown .

In closing , Icon , you asked in the op if food coloring is safe to add to our liquids . The answer is still --- We don't know.

Unfortunately no research has been done on vaping flavors, nicotine, nor food coloring =(. Loranns has dye in many of their flavorings and i know many use it - but still an unknown either way =(.

From the Greek cardiologist that has an extensive report under review by his peers wrt vaping vice smoking. The least we put in our juice besides nicotine the better. This includes flavouring, let alone adding clouring to make it look purdy. If it doesn't add to the vape with the exception of eye candy, leave it out. Not many can vape straight PG or VG nic but some can. Interesting convo I had with the FA reps at Vapestock. FA flavouring = 2% and no more than 5. In NA we vape (most) at around 15% some even higher. Their secret to good juice. Let it steep covered for a month.

I have some Ecto Plasma from Juicy Vapors that is bright green, and I was using Lorann's banana creme and it had a LOT of yellow food coloring in it, which is why I moved to the TPA banana creme. A lot of people love the JV Ecto, and I haven't heard of anyone getting sick from it, but the flavorings are already a big unknown in all this, so for ones I make myself (which is pretty much all of what I vape), I try to keep it as simple as possible and not add another unknown like food coloring.

*update* I have been testing out the food coloring I bought from http://www.ecigexpress.com/flavoring...loring-c-16_54
And I use a tooth pick rolled around in just one drop, and dipping the tooth pic in my E-juice 10-15ml bottle to get the tent I want. So far the flavor has not changed. I do not notice any change at all, except the color of course. Since it is less then a drop, even less then 1/2 a drop I do not see this being any issue with health nor taste. My juice looks cool on the out side, but how ever it is not really a big deal unless you are using a clear carto. I still see this not being a big deal and the way I look at it I inhale much worse through out my life with things I have no control over. At least this is a decision I can make ONLY for myself. *NOTE* I do not and never will, use ANY food coloring from a grocery store due to the harmful others that are in it. Please if you are going to use FC, please use something made for vaping, like the link I posted. It should be water, PG or VG, and coloring ONLY.
