I will work on a step-by-step Word tutorial that walks you through each section including screen shots. Will that help you

I sure hope so! When I see that equation my mind just seems to go into torpor!
As promised, here is the ejuice calculatorv5 and ejuice calculatorv5 tutorial, I have added the help context menus to the calculator for all fields that require entries, and I made the white cells the only active cells so no one accidentally deletes any of the formulas. This version is locked but not passworded, so if you want to change or add to it you may unlock it and do so. The tutorial gives you a step-by-step walk through of each section (yes I labeled each section) cutting down on the confusion when reading the tutorial.

Here is a screenie or v5:

Hope this helps ya!

Over the years I've learned a fair bit about Excel. 99% self taught from a huge variety of sources.

With that I fully appreciate that I'm familiar with the barest smallest itsy-bittiest bit of what Excel is capable of.

With THAT said, thank you Dan! v5 is now in my possession and I'm likin' it!!

Default Did I calculate this right???

Dan, while I was waiting for your reply on unlocking the charts, I messed around with the calculations after you wrote out the equation. This is what I came up with, except I couldn't figure out the quantity conversion.

30 ml of 36 mg Nic and want it to be 6mg

36 divided by 6 times 10 ml (amt to be made) = 60 mls
minus 10 mls = 50 mls PG or VG needed.
flavor @ 10%

13.32 mls PG or VG with nic (22.2%)
40.68 mls PG or VG without nic (67.8%)
6 mls flavor (10%)

60 mls

Did I do the calculations correctly? If I did, I am going to be so pleased with myself! However, as I said before, I couldn't figure out the quantity converstion. I think it might be 80 mls?

Ok I am confused, are you wanting to convert 30ml of 36mg ejuice into 6mg ejuice? Or convert 36mg to 6mg resulting in 10ml of 6mg with flavoring?

Converting all 30ml of 36mg ejuice into 6mg ejuice with flavoring should be:

36 divided by 6 times 30 ml = 180 mls
minus 30 mls = 150 mls PG or VG needed.
flavor @ 10%
Now subtract 10% of 180ml from the PG for flavoring = 18ml of flavoring.
So 150ml PG minus 18ml (the 10% flavoring) = 132ml

So it would be:
30ml 36mg ejuice
132ml of PG
18ml of flavoring
180ml total ejuice at 6mg

Finding the constant to breakdown the 180ml of 6mg to 10ml:

Now if you only want 10ml out of the 180ml to be made divide 180 by 10 equals 18 <--- this is your constant.

30ml divided by 18 = 1.66666 (1.7)ml 36mg ejuice
132ml divided by 18 = 7.3333 (7.3)ml PG
18ml divided by 18 = 1ml flavoring (10%)

(I did this manually and used the calculator and came up with the same thing)

Dont be discouraged, it is complicated that is why I posted the calculator. If you do it manually, you have take into account that the flavoring will reduce the mg% of the ejuice and the flavoring will replace the zero nic PG when you add it in. I think you got confused using 30ml and was trying to get 10ml and put them in the wrong place.

Read over the calculator tutorial and see if you can try to use the calculator.

Let me know.
Dan

Default Calculators...

I tried to use the calculators, Dan, but I couldn't seem to unlock them. When I click on the link I come to MediaFire. When I click on the link there, nothing happens except I get a bunch of advertisements, but the calculators do not come up. Is that because I must unlock them? How do I do that? Thanks, you are a patient, patient man! Are you married...lol.

When you go to Media fire there is a linnk that says "Click here to start download"

You click on that and it should propmt you to where you want the file saved at. If it does not then you need to see if IE (Internet explorer) is blocking the download. Normally a yellow information bar below IE's menu. It should say click here to see blocked content, or click here to download file. Somthing similar to this:

Just click on the yellow bar to allow your computer to download the file. They are not locked.

Yes I am married LOL

Default I think I got it this time....

Dan,

I am going to use the calculators, but I am at work, so I will have to get home to download.

I have done a new calculation using different amounts to see if I understand the calculation now. (By God, I will get this through my thick head!)

I want use 30 mls of 36mg nic ejuice and convert to 8mg ejuice:

(36 / 8) X 30 - 30 = 105 mls
10% flavor = 13.5 leaving 91.5 mls of PG needed.

30 mls of 36mg ejuice
91.5 mls PG
13.5 mls flavoring
135 mls of 8mg ejuice

Did I do it??? I think I did!!! Let me know if you are still up, as I will check when I get home. Now can I be proud of myself??? Can I, huh?

Oh, where do you get your PG Dan? If you are married, do you have a brother? ~smile~

DING DING DING...... And we have a winner!
Congradulations!

When using the calculator, you would do section 3 first, and then carry the total quantity produced up and put it in the amount to be made in section 1 and it carries down to the recipe perfectly!

Oh and I get my PG from here:
http://www.chemistrystore.com/search...o+Search2.y=12
Oh from the TSC (Tractor supply company)

Yes an older brother and he is married too
