So anyway the way I figure the strength like this. 10 drops of 36mg nicotine + 5 drops of loran flavoring with 0 nic = 15 total drops. 36 x 10=360 divide by total drops for the average. really simple. 360/15= 24 Close enough for me! So whats with all the algebra?

Start using multiple flavors, pga, multiple strength pg/vg base, want a certain pg/vg percentage with multiple nic and no nic sources, etc etc. I'd also not want to sit there and drip out 100ml of a batch. I'll take some simple math and a few measuring devices vs trying to count out hundreds of possibly similar drips and hope my 30mg mix doesn't end up being a 55 mg mix.

I have LorAnn eye-droppers which do 40 drops per milliliter.
I have other eye-droppers - big ones - that do 17 drops per milliliter.

Assuming that all drops are the same size is not a good idea. You won't get very good results when converting small batch "dropped" recipes into large batch "measured" recipes.

LOL I just mixed up a 1000ml batch of tobacco and I think I have this down to almost a science. I always start out with a small batch 10ml and the convert it to 1000ml and it converts over very nicley. Havent had a problem yet. But I always use the same dropper for measuring drops on the small batches and then use ml in the big batches. Works for me

OK I see where it would be usefull. All I make right now is small amounts, 3 ml max. I use the same dropper and the strongest juice I have is 36mg/ml.

By the way, excellent spread sheet. Also I stumbled on the Lorann flavors at the local Walmart. They come in a two pack for $2.00 total.

Yep, using the same dropper is the way to go. But I have dropper bottles for some ingredients, little eye droppers and big eye droppers... It's maddening to convert a 2ml test batch into a 30ml recipe. I really need to standardize, but that's actually a bigger pain for me.

I buy the 10ml dropper bottles and fill them from my 4oz bottle, so the drops are the same. I dont by drams any more from lorann and fill the 10ml bottles from cappellas for my samples so everything is the same.
Thats how I do it any way

Yep, That is the way to do it. I'll get there, too - you've just been doing it longer.

Thanks for the spreadsheet Dan. It has helped me a lot. I can now either repeat the reciepe or easily make the right adjustments. No more guessing.
