Any flavoring that is oil based will probably be NASTY and bad for the atomizer if vaped. Only water soluble flavors should be used.

Yep - I ordered a few flavors from them. Got all excited about Angel Food Cake, Cookie Dough, Malted Milk Balls, and Cantaloupe. Then I looked at the ingredients. The first one is soy bean oil. They are now residing in my baking cabinet. I'm soooo sad ....

i use the flavorings from walmart such as mint and peppermint and they use spearmint oil in PG(nice coincidence) and i have no problems, so it works for me.

yeah...I know the party-line is to avoid any oil-based flavorings due to what it could do to the atty. however, we should keep in mind that when mixing fluids, the oil-based flavors are so potent that you are using miniscule amounts that might equate to like 5% (or less) of the fluid. other forum members have expiremented with oil-based flavorings and tracked their atomizer life and continued to report no ill effects.

HOWEVER, there was another thread (or mebbe it was a web-site) that did caution that there are certain oil-based versions to absolutely avoid due to the type of oil used. can't recall the specifics....but methinks it discussed vetable oil versus ___ oil versus ____. sorry...not much help...but suffice it to say, there should be some information about types of oils used in the flavorings.

Also, a thread in the TW forum talked about the threat of diacetyl (popcorn lung). This is usually found in butter and buttery-flavored food items, so some caution should probably be exercised when vaping such flavors.

But on the whole, I think it reasonable to keep in mind that the percentage of an oil-based flavoring to the rest of the ingredients and total volume of the liquid is small enough to minimize risks to atomizers and even to our own health. Just don't vape straight butter!
