I'd get a dropper, a shot glass, and do a dropper full of glycerin, and a dropper full of rum, whiskey, or other strong drink.

Its really not advanced chemistry. After its mixed take a dropper and examine how thick it is. Too thick, add more liquid, to thin, add more glycerin. When you think you have it right, bottle it. Every E-liquid manufacture has a different idea of how think the juice should be.

I've also shaken bottles and examined how fast the micro bubbles rise to the surface. After a minute the bubbles should be almost nonexistent, only the finest micro bubbles remain. If you can count the bubbles, its too thick

That recipe looks fine to me No Burn, Pegaso and Somoney have given you good advice. I usually just guess quantities until I'm happy with the thickness and flavour. I'm more careful about how much nicotine I add but you don't need to worry about that.

Sorry but I don't know about vanillin I'm afraid.

Kate, just out of interest, what E cig do you use with your juices and do you drip or use carts?

I use a Janty Kissbox classic most of the time and a dse901 mini occasionally. I use cartridges with no problems in the 901 but haven't had much luck with them until today in the Kissbox. However, I tried again today and got one to work very well. Dripping has been most reliable but I've murdered a couple of switches by flooding them. Luckily the new ones aren't affected by liquid.

    What ecig do you use?

I use DSE901s and have just ordered a black pen style with blue LED from E-cigs.co.uk.
As I understand it the penstyles are better for dripping aren't they?

I've only ever dripped a couple of devices so I can't really say. The Kissbox and Ruyan Bling ecigar are good for dripping, I've not tried the 901 because cartridges works well for me on that and I don't use it a lot.

The black classic/penstyle from Smokester has had some good reviews, you should be ok with that.

Kate, it i funny that you said you murdered a switch dripping. i was just topping off a cart today and got a little juice on my hand and then i went for my switch...i stopped and thought...kate likes to drip...maybe that's what happened to her switch? I know that would definitely happen to me. Might happen soon...i find myself wiping off where the cart goes hoping my dripping doesn't kill my switch.

Hi Kimmie. What I did was to flood the atomiser a bit and juice leaked through the connection to the switch. There is a hole on most batteries and switches where they join the atomiser and juice goes in the hole, that wrecks the internals. Janty have sent me some new switches that don't have a hole at the atomiser connection end and they are fine for dripping.

I think you are right to dry that joint occasionally, even if you don't tend to flood your atomiser it can still get wet and that's not going to be good in the switch/battery.
