Talking Tobacco Flavors in the U.S.

    Hey everyone,
While looking for tobacco flavors I ran accross a site called seedman.com, they carry a line of tobacco top notes. Flavoring you add to dry tobacco to give it flavor. So I finally got around to calling them and they told me the base of the flavors was PG. Ok so what about using it in ejuice for electronic ciggies? Well the rep told me they sell it by the gallon to companies that produce ejuice. But that is not what it is intended for. I asked what the top flavors that were sold to these companie, and he said top seller was commercial tobacco because it taste like malboro ciggies. Hmmmm why not, so I ordered 6 different flavors.

    Commercial
    Captin Black
    English
    Vanilla
    Mango
    Honey

They came in last week and I have been testing them out since.
The commercial taste like malboro, captin black has a darker richer taste, english has a spicy flavor, vanilla and mango have subtle flavor, but I was suprised that I REALLY liked the honey. Each of these were 5.00 for 2 oz. I used .5ml per 9.5ml of ejuice. I boosted the vanilla with the cappelas vanilla (5 drops) from happy vapor. Wonderful! And boosted the mango with 5 drops of Lorann mango flavoring.

I am posting this as I have searched this entire site for seedman.com and only found people discussing growing tobacco plants. I am extremely happy with these flavors and no ill effect after a week. So I am posting my find. I did not try the other top note flavors they have such as menthol etc.. but I am sure they are good.

If you scroll halfway down the page here: Tobacco Flavorings for Home Grown Tobacco
You will find the top note flavors, they are:

    TOB704 "LIGHT BRAND" FLAVORING
    TOB505 MENTHOL FLAVOR
    TOB506 COMMERCIAL CIGARETTE
    TOB507 CAPTAIN BLACK TYPE
    TOB508 ENGLISH TOBACCO FLAVOR

    TOB511 RUM
    TOB512 HONEY

    TOB513 MANGO
    TOB515 BLACK LICORICE
    TOB516 CHERRY
    TOB517 APPLE

Well that is my review and information I have found, I know people have been looking for tobacco flavoring so this is what I have found, I hope it helps someone.

    Enjoy

Could you give us a more specific breakdown? Say for a tobacco flavored e-liquid... you used .5ml of the seedman stuff, and the 9.5ml was what? Was it pure PG? was it mostly PG some VG? Did you add nicotine to it? Thanks for your find!

I used .5ml of the seedman flavor to 9.5ml of 12mg nic juice that was comprised of 20% VG and 80% PG nic juice.

    The label states:
Contains natural and aromatic flavoring, glycolene, and distilled water.

    LOL and no VAT!

    That help?

So those flavorings are not just additives to tobacco, but (at least some of them) taste like tobacco itself? That is, TOB506 COMMERCIAL CIGARETTE + nicotine PG and/or VG (without any Tobacco Absolute) tastes (at least somewhat) like Marlboro e-liquid?

That's quite something! My feeble attempts to create a tobacco-flavored juice (using Tobacco Absolute) have been dismal failures.

    Thanks!

Yes! no tobbaco absolute needed, The honey is awesome IMO!
The are top note flavors that are added to the dry tobacco to give its unique flavor.
Correct TOB506 COMMERCIAL CIGARETTE + nicotine PG and/or VG = a malboro flavor IMO. I have had two others try my sample and they wanted more.
Of course I dont use as much flavoring as others as my tastebuds returned and I can get by with 5% flavoring.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

    Always one....

After Glycolene I was lazy and did not type out what was after it, and that was (humectant/preservitive)
AKA Propolene Glycol (PG) a sweet colorless, viscous, hygroscopic liquid used as an antifreeze and in brake fluid and also as a humectant in cosmetics and personal care items although it can be absorbed through the skin with harmful effects.

I specifically asked what the base of this was before ordering, and rep told me propolene glycol (PG). This is used by many others for ejuice. Call the company if you have questions.
    1-800-336-2064

    Added:
BTW if you check the site your quoting from:
It shows Glycolene as being canceled
    Product Registration Status: Cancelled
    Approval Date: Apr 10, 1952
    Cancellation Date: Sep 30, 1991
    Cancel/Transfer Reason: Maint. fee non-payme

    Cancel Date

If the pesticide is no longer registered for use in the U.S., a cancellation date will appear in this field, showing when the registration for the pesticide product was cancelled. If the registration is currently active, 00/00/00 will appear in this field.

A product with a cancelled registration is no longer legally available for sale in the U.S. There are several possible reasons a product registration might be cancelled.
