Starting To Mix-I Have Questions

Let me take a stab at this.



Scenario #1 - I have a bottle of non flavored 24mg Nicotine juice, I have a bottle of PG, and I have a bottle of flavor from Lorann. I want to make a 12mg nicotine level juice with a nice smooth flavor. So I would mix the PG and Nic juice 50 / 50? But how much % flavor would I ad? Is this correct?

Also I want to make a large amount of Menthol juice. How do I get the menthol flavor for my juice? I cant find this flavor anywhere in a concetrate. Only thing I could find is Menthol crystals. How does this work?

Anybody who makes thier own Menthol juice please chime in!!! I will be making an order for these supplies next week.

Yes, 50/50 is correct - but not necessarily 50% nic-juice with 50% PG, but 50% nic-juice with 50% everything else.

I'd recommend making small batches to begin with - it's pretty easy to over-flavor a batch, and to make a batch that doesn't taste as good as you think it might.

You want to sample new batches by dripping, which will minimize waste. First, remove the filler from a cartridge, put the cart back on the atomizer, and vape until it starts to taste burnt or "off." This process removes most of the previous flavor from your atomizer.

Next, grab a small bottle, and add 20 drops of nic-juice, 16 drops of PG, and 4 drops of flavoring. This will put you at 10% flavoring, which is a good starting point.

Vape it by dripping 3 drops onto your atomizer. Vape it until burnt/off.

How was it? Was the flavoring strong enough? If not, add 2 drops of flavoring to your bottle (this will get you to approx 15% flavoring) and 1 drop of nic-juice (to stay at approx 50%). Shake, and drip 2 drops again.

Continue this process until you have the flavoring is strong enough. Be sure to keep track of the number of drops of flavoring you used. At this point, if it's good, you'll have an idea of how much drops of flavoring to add to your mix - approximately, but very close. You'll probably want to mix up a 3ml batch, and do a little adjusting.

If you decide that the flavor is crap and you pour it down the drain. (Hey, at least you wasted only 1ml.)


Always "creep up" with the flavoring - some of these flavors are strong, and it's easy to over-flavor e-juice and it will not taste good then.

The only juice I ever made that tasted so bad it had to go down the drain was Lorann's Bavarian Cream. Should be called Barfarian cream.
Otherwise, I have two catchall bottles...fruit and coffee/sweets.
I don't use menthol but I wouldn't put that in either of these bottles.
Anyway, I get something perfectly vapeable by mixing unliked juices, kind of a fruit punch in the one and a coffee/vanilla/caramel/maple/butterscotch hodgepodge in the other.
Keep a couple of bottles of blended rejects and you won't be throwing your $$$ down the drain.

Ok... I will be ordering the 35mg Menthol eliquid from V4L, Then cutting it around 30%. Do you think I would have to add more menthol or mint flavoring when I cut it? I am thinking maybe just a few drops of mint once it's cut just to make up for the dilution of the menthol flavoring.

Do a search for the juice calculaor. It is great and will help you with how much of what to mix and resulting strengths.

Juicy Liquids has some great liquid menthol drops and crystals. Careful with the liquid. It is potent and just a little will do.

Luma.....were you a menthol smoker in your past life? My reason for the question is that I was a heavy menthol smoker (35 yrs.) and I thought that I would love vaping menthol. I purchased all things menthol in the beginning. But, to my surprise, everything else tasted so good (except fruits) that menthol was the last thing I wanted. If you are new to vaping, make sure you really love the menthol before making all the purchases.

I went to walmart and got a 117 ml bottle of USP glycering to cut the e-liquid with. If I wanted say to cut it down to 18 mg how much glycering do i need to mix with it (5x20 ml = 100 ml) ???
