Default What % of flavor to add???

How high can you go with Lorann's flavorings without "messing up" the vapor?

I've gone as high as 25% of the English Toffee and there's STILL not much flavor. I'm using an M201 with the straw/plug cart mod.

    The recipe...

    40% - 36mg unflavored nic juice, MFS
    25% - VG, Wilton's
    10% - PGA, Golden Grain
    25% - English Toffee, Lorann's

I "can" taste the English Toffee, but it's weak.

If increasing the flavoring is going to effect the vapor, I just don't want to waste my nic juice playing with it, KWIM?

    Thanks,

    Sherry

Go with 40% flavoring. Also increase the PG to VG ratio just slightly. With more VG comes more vapor and with more PG comes more flavor. I find that with English Toffee, 40% flavoring is about perfect.

You can also experiment with no nic. Just mix flavor with PG and VG and then once you find the desired mixture substitute the nic juice for the portion of PG if your nic is suspended in PG or VG if suspended in VG.

Yeah I found I have to use a lot more flavoring than I had expected. Right now I'm toying around with this recipe:

    TW 36mg Tobacco Flavored E-liquid: 2.5 ml / 50 drops /50.0%
    VG (no nicotine): 1.5 ml / 30 drops / 30.0%
    LorAnn Raspberry Flavoring: 1.0 ml / 20 drops / 20.0%

This makes 5ml for a travel dropper. And tastes pretty good but I'm still not getting the hookah like taste experience I'm looking for. I think I might need to add some ethanol to help carry the flavor.

I'll post it under the recipes thread once I get it right.

    OK...my new recipe:

45% - "Black Tea", litecig (this is VERY good on its own, BTW!)
    10% - PG
    5% - VG
    40% - English Toffee, Lorann's

All I can say is that as I sit here, luxuriating amidst a sweet cloud of velvet toffee vapor, I sure am glad I found this forum!

Another part of the original recipe that could be causing less flavor is the PGA- That is a bit high from what I have seen posted by mnay of the other DIYers-
I think 10% PGA to your VG/PG - so if you use 30% PG/VG you should only use 3% PGA IF you are using PGA at all...
Not sure why yet but I have asked and this has been the standard answer 5-10% of PG/VG ratio...
Your last recipe there sounds awesome and I love English Toffee

Steal away, but after vaping this ALL DAY (), I think I may have to reconsider the Black Tea juice...after a while, it starts tasting very bitter (to me), especially on the back of the tongue.

I just recently started mixing my own eliquid. None of it taste like is suppose to. I have tried vanilla, caramel and marshmellow. Most of them don't have a sweet taste like I thought they would.

I kept adding more flavoring and it did not seem to change, if anything they got a little bitter.
