Getting started
Hey folks,
I'm looking to start some dabbling in making my own liquid. Are there any quick and easy tutorials for folks like myself who are completely clueless where to even begin when it comes to DIY?
The essential equipment, how to's, FAQ, etc.

Did you try the DIY thread, Bri? They used to have a lot of information about making your own juice. Someone (can't remember who) made a calculator with about 40 recipes listed on it. That would give you a start.

I thought I was in the DIY forum.
I was hoping there would be a sticky or something along the lines of a basic tutorial for getting started.

Nobody has put together a decent beginner's DIY guide. I tried, but found that their are so many variables - many with serious safety concerns - that I wrote 7 pages and still hadn't covered how to calculate nicotine strength of the final product. I gave up.

Bri, You are in the DIY forum.
The member that designed the mixing program for DIYers is
Scubabatdan.
Just go here, and look at his tagline, it is version 8.

As far as I am concerned, it is the PREMIER application for mixing.
The last version he has out has 48 recipies in it.
It will tell you how much nic juice to add to PG or VG, how much flavoring to add, how much it costs you when you DIY mix.
I don't see how anyone can DIY without his program.
Since I dont have Microsoft Office, I went to OpenOffice.org and downloaded their free program to use it.
A lot of people like to shop at dawn's website, DIYflavorshack.com,
she comes highly recommended by other members.
The last piece of advice is READ, READ, READ the DIY forum.

I apologize, Bri. You are in the DIY forum, I just wasn't paying attention.
Yes, Scubabatdan is the one I was thinking of. His recipes sound very good and his program makes it easy.
