I LOVE VANILLA AFTER MY COFFEE! Absolutely LOVE it, never tought I would have found such a FINE replacement for my aftercoffee analog. It's probably a common stereotype the italian+espresso one, and well... I AM that stereotype XD I do even mill my chosen blend, and for me a cig after a nice espresso is a must.

Yes, i was drinking my evening coffee and vaping my vanilla while writing this XD

Kate--I am still waiting the 3 months of soaking the Vanilla Beans--it is going into week 7. So I will let you know when I after the week 12. I sure hope their are some results as Vanilla is a tough one. I really would like to know what they use in the Commercial e-liquids for their Vanilla---Sun

I think it's a safe bet to say they are using the vanilla absolute... There's really nothing else left. Hope someone tries it and lets us know. I might buy some later, like in a few weeks.

The first link I posted above is (apparently) not a product safe for internal use.

I'm seeing some confusion concerning products labeled as Vanilla Absolute as to whether they are solvent extracted or CO2 extracted and it appears there are different forms without explanation for why they may or may not be useful for intended purposes.

The vanilla absolute I linked to before (I cannot edit that post) but it is referred to as a 20x extract... unclear on any differences here, but on their site it specifically states: reserved exclusively for perfume not for internal use.

OK peeps, this is where I first started out when I was looking into the vanilla flavor problem.

I was at a friend's store and they had these vanilla crystals on the shelf and I thought these would be excellent to use they smelled very strongly of vanilla. He has since sold the store and I've never seen them anywhere else.

When I started looking into the question to post on here I came across the absolute only after discovering that the vanilla crystals I could find were actually sugar crystals infused with vanilla. It now turns out that these crystals are different than the thing I actually saw at my friend's store.

HERE'S THE ACTUAL THING I MUST HAVE SEEN:

VANILLIN (NOT VANILLA)

Vanillin - Krinos - .75 oz jar : GreekInternetMarket.com

I'm guessing you can dissolve the crystals in the liquid just like with menthol crystals. We've talked about artificial flavors etc. but this IS apparently listed as an ingredient in some commercial e-juice.

In fact, it appears that various formulations are using a combination of both vanillin and vanilla extract! Search the forum for ethyl vanillin.

You're going to find this at some Mediterranean specialty shops I'm guessing.

Don't laugh, but Supercook / Dr Oetker (a UK brand) vanilla natural extract is good (the only good one in the whole range IMO. No oils or colors. Reasonably strong flavor; certainly a great flavor (much better when vaped than whiffed from the bottle.

Kinablaoo--I have been working on this vanilla for 6 months--maybe you are going to come the the rescue here again--what are you relaying here as I have not scene this thread pop up for some time--I have had zero luck with Vanilla as the extract flavors have way to high an alcohol content and it takes over the flavor---Any ideas that will solve this issue as well--Thoughts? Always appreciated-----Sun

The supercook brand in UK vanilla natural extract is really good. It has a little alcohol but mostly water. Its for cakes and such but good taste.

It's hard to bring out the vanilla flavor in vaping. You'll need to add a small amount of banana flavor to enhance the vanilla flavor.
