Boilinng tap water is not sufficent as was stated earlier. The calcium content noted to build up on attys is a component of the total disolved solids (TDS) in your supply. Distilled water should contain no more than 0-1ppm TDS.

My municipal water tests at 300-340ppm TDS which I run through a reverse osmosis system lowering it to below 15ppm TDS. I'll probably call that good enough.
