Flavor Assessment Help
Thanks to Thyestean for pointing me to this forum.
Here's my dilemma:
I want to start mixing my own and have read and saved quite a bit of info. The problem is I want to mix a juice that is similar if not identical to BestECiggy's Slow Cured and have no idea where to start. I know it's VG based and have no problem with coming up with a VG/PG, PG/VG ratio... that doesn't concern me. But the taste is subtle and I'm not even sure how to describe it let alone what flavor(s) to use.
Maybe it has something to do with Ethyl Maltol but I'm not sure what taste that imparts, but I have a feeling that may have a lot to do with it.
It doesn't have a stand-out flavor so I'm looking for some help.
If anyone who is experienced with mixing and has vaped BestECiggy's slow cured and could point me in a direction I would really appreciate it.
If not I would be glad to send a few ml to someone with experience so they could vape it and possibly help.
TIA

Ethyl Maltol when cut at 10% with PG tastes like cotton candy. It is used as s sweetener in recipes. Just one or two drops (for small quantities) will smooth out any dry/harsh recipe.

Have you tried any of the ECOpure non-menthol flavors? They use Ethyl Maltol for the main ingredient of their flavoring. How does it compare with other tobacco flavored e-liquids you've tried? A lot of people use EM with Tobacco Absolute and Seedman's flavors to get the right amount of smoothness/harshness.
I love trying to replicate flavors I've had before, whether food or pre-mixed liquid, but I don't use tobacco flavors much so I can't really help you. I'm betting Scubabatdan could get close it if you sent him some, though.
