need to exploit Someone's experience...please

been mixing my own liquids for almost two months now and could use a little help from Someone who's been at it a bit longer. My mixes come out well enough that I can use them, but I've yet to really nail the consistency/viscosity. I'Ve got two different Versions of the Juice Calculator and use a PG based nicotine liquid (usually cut the mg to a little more than half), glycerine (it's what I cut with), and flavors from Capella and LorAnn's. for the 12mL batches I was gonna do tonight, for instance, I was going to try: 4mL of 48 mg PG nic/liq+ 5.6mL glycerine + 2.4mL flavoring... any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.O yeah--in case it makes a difference, btw: I'm using 510s, BE112s, and 901s/4075s.. all on DIY boxes with 2 parallel 14500s.

You are a little heavy on the VG. (47%)

I would reduce your recipe to the following 70/30

nic 4ml 33%
PG 2ml 17%
VG 3.6ml 30%
Fla 2.4ml 20% = 12 ml @15,8 mg

That's what I was going to suggest. I usually keep my VG to about 30% of the mix. I'm not totally accurate all the time because I eyeball it. I use 48 mg nic and cut it to about 16 mg by filling 1/3 of the bottle with nic juice, adding the flavoring (which requires different amounts depending on what type of flavoring it is), adding about 1 drop of vodka per ml size of the bottle for throat hit, add PG until there is only about 30% more room in the bottle and fill the rest with VG. Very scientific method huh . When I am mixing 12 mg juice I do the same thing but I start with filling the bottle 1/4 with nic juice to start.

poop.. that's what i was afraid of (i've tried every other variation).. i've even tried cutting the glycerine itself (all the way up to 50/50 solutions with distilled water or PGA--PGA came closest to getting the job done, btw), but i'm seeing that that's just not going to do it.. /sigh

Not trying to be an ass, it all depends if you look like a bum or not. Propylene Glycol is used in pharmaceuticals as a binding agent for pills. That's right every aspirin you take is held together with it.

Not knowing if you are male or female it is hard for the following advice. I was a premium cigar smoker and had quite a bit of PG on hand. It is used to maintain humidity in a humidor. PG in H2O at 50/50 will maintain humidity at 70%.

When I went to the pharmacy to get some I was asked what for. I explained what it was for and they were cool with that. BTW don't try to bull.... a pharmacist, they know there ..... Because the pharmacist was a woman and new about PG and humidors. She asked me how much I wanted and I stated a litre or so. She said they didn't carry that much but would order it in for me. I said OK. She also stated that they had about 50 mls or so I could buy to tide me over. I bought it.

So go into a pharmacy and just asked for it, saying it's for your humidor. This is widely known in the cigar community and you should not haver a problem. However, if ya look like a fraudulent individual, order behind the safety of your PC

lol.. no worries, Switched, i know what you mean. only physically went into two stores, called every other pharmacy within an hour of here though.. not one of them asked me anything about it, they just check with whomever and then shake their head from side-to-side while giving me that fake "aw, i'm so sad for you" face. and as far appearances go i probably do look like a bum most days, heh, but i used to be an English prof at the local university here and can look the part when needed.

anyhow.. the parents are going to check some feed stores over by them, tomorrow, that i didn't know about, so i'm crossing my fingers for that to come through at the moment. otherwise, i'll try going into the places i called last time and see if my luck fares any better that way. and i know i could just order some online.. but i don't do credit cards or banks.. call me crazy, but i've never had much faith in that whole game, heh. ;b

I told them it was for my fog machine at the studio. Not a lie except I don't have a fog machine at this studio...did in California.

I have now been in and gotten syringes, tweezers, and bottles. Even ask them if Everclear would melt plastic bottles. I have told them this stuff is for PV's and showed them.

Of course, this is a town of 450 but the pharmacy doesn't know me - at least they didn't until now.

see.. that's why it irritates me that i couldn't get anything more than "How do you spell that?" and "No" out of all the ppl i talked too. CVS and Walgreens are the two that i actually went to, as well.. they're no more than three blocks from my house, so of course that would have been too convenient. ;b
