Angry My Dse801 batteries have gone doolalytat!!

I have had my DSE801 for 7 days and problems arrived on the 5th day. They were working perfectly up until this point. Lots of vapor, clear signals from the flashing tip. Now, they work one minute, not the next. There is no flash to tell me when I connect the atti to the battery. I can vape ok a couple of times then it will flash 15 times at me and start to get hot. I don’t know what the 15 flashes means as that is not stated in the instruction manual. Then I have to drag really hard to get it going again, then it dies. I can leave it looking dead for a few minutes then vape again for a couple of times then it goes doolalytat again. I have been analog free for 7 days now…yippeeee, but this is driving me crazy. I don’t really know when I need to charge cause I don’t get the 30 flashes. I just use it willy nilly and get the vapes when I can.
Luckily I bought a back up from eBay, the Advanced Pro 2009 and that is going really well. It is behaving as it should..so far!! Can anyone hazard a guess as to what’s gone wrong? I have ordered another DSE801 battery and atti. Maybe if I can find out what has happened then I can avoid using my new ones in the same way. I do like the DSE801 but if this is going to happen again I will have to look elsewhere for a different model.
    Help me please.

HI sorry for the issues you are having w/ the battery
A few things to possibly keep in mind
First and we all kinda forget this, that the battery is still a cheap piece of crap. Not in dollars, but what it actually is and probably how it is made
Although it may be a 10 cent pce of st. you can do a few things that have worked for me
The blinking may not mean anything or it may be everything
Mine flash like crazy when I overdo it, vape to much. to quick, to often in a row, The charge is also an inconsistent thing, I DISREGARD all the signals and charge usually over night and pull it no matter what
Blow into the atty end a few times or try a duster and see if that may help. I have several batteries that smoke really great, but DO NOT LIGHT UP AT ALL, and they still work very well, I have some bats that blink like crazy, never stop and they smoke real well, too
I know I am all over the place w/ this post, however, I am trying to say, there is NO ONE THING that makes these things do what they do. If they vape, that is all thay matters, if they dont, they are DEAD
Look for some forum members that may buy dead batts ans use them for their mods
    good luck

could be the batteries have liquid inside.

try standing the battery, LED end up, overnight to drain any possible liquid.

    or

get a air can and gently blow it into the connector end

It does sound like your controller chip is wonky. (This is how my 801 works: The way things are with these things, your milage may vary.) The number of flashes seems to be variable. It's supposed to flash about 5 secs. when 1) it's first plugged in to the charger, 2) if you drag for longer than 5 seconds, 3) you puff more than 15 times in a minute, or 4) it's out of juice and needs to be recharged. The 'long flash' (about 15 secs) is a 'cleaning cycle' that is supposed to burn any crud off of the atomizer. It's only supposed to kick in every couple hundred puffs. The general word around this forum is to unscrew the battery when you see the cleaning cycle start, as it's kinda unnecessary, it'll shorten the life of the atomizer and make the juice taste burnt.

It sounds like your battery is starting the cleaning cycle too often, and draining your battery down. If you have juice goo in the battery, it might be shorting something out.

(after the cleaning cycle, it'll take a few seconds before you get vapor because the coil dries out, and needs to re-prime with juice.)
A personal, portable, propylene glycol vapor delivery device?!...why isn't this lauded as the greatest advance in disease prevention in 70 years??

801 batteries that are marked SLB are simply junk. Two of four (brand new) batteries have quit within two weeks of being placed in service. The controller chips start going wonky and within a matter of hours, the batteries are useless.

Red face Problems with 801 batteries?

I have had my Penstyle DSE801 for a couple of weeks and have been very disappointed. I read this forum quite a bit before making my decision to buy. It doesn't matter what batter, atomizer or cart I am using I cannot get much vapor out of it. Cart is full, battery is charged, dripped on atomizer and all are new. Very frustrating. I have contacted David re this and had no response so far. Could it be that I got two bad batteries in the starter kit? Is there a trick I need to know about? If I blow on the cart before I drag I can get a bit more vapor, but am concerned about damaging the batteries.

Does Anyone Have Any Luck With Any Standard 801 Batts?

I Never Get More Then A Few Weeks Out Of Several Different Major Brands of The Standard 801 Batts Including BestEcig. I Do Not Drip, Very Careful of Juice Droppings. I Also Charge Them Properly, Clean The Batt Threads & Atom Threads With Alcohol and Leave Them Thread Side Down at All Times!

We Know They Are All Cheap Crappy Cells, Generic Controller Chips and Even Worse Switches In The Batts, But Has Anyone (Please only medium to heavy vapors reply) Found A Standard Size 801 Brand That Last Longer?

I've batteries die from all placed I've bought, BestEcig, 3 of the 4 batts I got died, David Yang one of the 2 died, Sailebao 2 of the 3 sometimes activate when I move the (they are not electromagnetic like Bestecig, normal pressure activated batts), I think it may be a problem with the swtich.

I Did Not See Warranty @ Healthy E Cig

Looks Like BestEcig Products but more money, takes longer to process before shipping and no warranty?

Please explain to us so we know.

    Thank U!
