I'm surprised and confused with carts

Hi all,
I've been vaping high bridge atty 801's for 6 months from HG and have had no problems. I heard EastMalls low bridge 4 hole was awsome so I ordered several with extra blank carts with the understanding if you have a low bridge you better get the carts that go with it, thinking they're different, maybe longer, Not. They are exactly the same as my HG 801 carts. Now I know the filler gets pushed in with the high bridge but how does the low bridge wick the e liquid when it doesn't touch, I got very little vaper??? Any ideas or comments from all you fellow 801 lovers?

I ordered some low bridge 801s for my chuck but only have the white insert part for my old standard 801s. I didnt think anything of it and discovered the low bridge was burning the plastic off my standard white part....

Direct dripping works well though. imo
