NewBe - i don't want to be one to say "you're doing something wrong" but, just consider it there's a lot of learning curve with these things, and from what you typed it sounds like you're doing things right though. you checked the carts to make sure they weren't dry, i'm guessing the batteries are charged as well right?

it's possible that maybe the atomizer is dry and that it isn't wicking the fluid enough before you're puffing it, and in that case it would be heating up...but you'd be getting little to no vapor.

i mean, within only a few puffs it should still be working, because one thing you'd want to question is...is the atomizer coated in gunk and just not producing vapor, but it's brand new, so that's not possible. and if the atomizer died...then it shouldn't be getting hot.

are your carts snug on the end? is the fluid/filler pressed into the atomizer?

im pretty new to vaping, but I've had no problems with my 901 atty..I personally love the 901!

one thing i've noticed is that if I use the same cartridge for a while and keep filling, it starts to taste burned..I think its the polyfill burning

Still new to vaping as well, but every night before bed I take apart the cig, pull out the wool in the cart. Rinse both the cart and wool well. Blot dry the wool and let both air dry over night. Now dont forget to fill the wool well the next day (8-12 drops) cause its not the same as a top off. Hope this helps

Really simple but I've heard of people forgetting it or not noticing. With the original atomizer and cartridge the cartridge is empty and has no fill. The atomizer is soaked in something and they say that you can get 7-10 puffs with just the atomizer wet and the original empty cartridge. Just an idea, someone may have missed it...

lol i had a black starterkit from aquavaporcig.com and my atomizer worked, took it from battery put it in the case put it back to gether later on and it wouldnt do anything at all a multi meter showed no current going throuhg it (n/a on ohms setting) anything?
