Default Burnt after taste

I have a 901 and since day one I have gotten a burnt or weird after taste from it.
Great vapor. But this taste makes all juices taste the same. No matter what kind it is.
It seems to work fine the first buff. But the second one will give me that kinda burnt flavor.

Anyway I've cleaned them I've tried dripping blowing out. Yada yada and nothing seems to help.
Now these are rather new as I haven't had the chance to use it much.
Could this be the 'break in' time that is needed?
I let them set in alcohol rinsed and repeat . Then I let them sit over night before I used them.
The atty does get warm on the second puff but nothing major. (at least I don't think)
These are not the SLB 901. Its the r4075?

Any advice would be nice. I'm already going to order another starter kit. But if these attys are bad I want to send them back along with the DOA battery I got.

It possibly could be the "break in time", but I get a burnt taste if the cart is too dry or the wick isn't touching the bridge of the atty. I do not drip, just top-off. I do not clean in the beginning, just gently blow out excess juice at night. But, if you have a RN4075, they burn hotter than a 901. They can be a fog machine, I like them also, but the burnt taste can occur more often. When the atty gets too hot when taking consecutive puffs, then you have to let it cool down, or burnt flavor will occur or possibly a dead atty. I vape constantly (or it seems so)......therefore, I keep 2 901's going in rotation. It gives each atty cool-down time. Also, take a couple primer puffs and see how that works to help break them in. Good luck and keep reading around the forum. Lots of great info and some nice folks.

I have no problems with my 901 attys unless I clean them. Same goes for the 102's so I just use them.
I realize eventually I will have to but I put it off until it's absolutely necessary. The next time I want to use the Crest Mouthwash (if I can find what kind I need), and hopefully that will give the atty a renewed life.

I would suggest dripping, and don't be afraid to flood the attie. This is just me, and I haven't been using a 901 long, and exclusively on a passthrough. But when I was using a BE atomizer was getting a bad taste for awhile, but I flooded it and it seemed to help taste a lot, I don't even blow it out, and vapor and throat hit and everything are fine for me after a puff or 2 after being flooded, a little juice will come out of hole, but I just wipe it up with a paper towel and continue vaping, and have had no problems so far. From everything I've read flooding doesn't hurt an attie but letting it get too dry will. This is just my limited experience, and only been using 901 for a few days but I have found this works well.
