I want to purchase this model and cannot seem to find anyone that has any in stock on line. Does anyone know where I can get the REAL model of the DSE901 not the imposter?

I would take the "imposter" over the real DSE anyday.

Because the RN 4075 (the "imposter") supposedly burns hotter, therefore better throat hit and vapor. Which of course takes a small hit on battery life but that's worth it to me. I don't much care about build quality -- if it doesn't smoke well, then it's irrelevant if it feels sturdy in the hand or if I can drop it without it breaking... because I wouldn't be using it anyway.

Thank you. Appreciate your input. Are the parts interchangeable on the real 901's and the imposter ones?

You should use 901 carts on 901 atomizers. 4075 carts on 4075 atomizers. Reason being the 4075 carts won't quite reach the 901 bridge. Or maybe I have that backwards. (LOL, don't have a real 901 in-hand) Either way, just use the proper carts. Carts are cheap!

Your battery was not fully charged at first.

Also, I for some reason remember reading to screw the battery in, then plug it into the wall.

Now that really doesn't make sense to me but that is how I do it. Maybe it was a dream, but I generally charge mine for 4 hours, or I will put one on while I sleep at 6 hours.

My carts are lasting just fine, waiting on the juice! I just popped my 3rd cartridge in in the last 24 hours. First day using it also, so very new myself.

But I was also sitting in a bar for 4 hours, where I normally smoke like a chimney, and didn't even bring my cigarettes with me!

My only ecig is a 901, and I stopped using carts after the first day. You barely get 1 cigarette's worth of vaping before you need to top it back off. I've been doing nothing but dripping for about 6 weeks now, and I really prefer it. 2 drops is just about a cigarette's worth of vapor. Works out nicely for me. I love my 901 <3
