I have had several instances when I thought I had a dead atomiser i have several I use when I think one is getting"tired" I sit it down and drain it out, A few times I tried it again , no matter what I did it just wouldnt vape. So, I chalked it up as dead. Im ever the optomist so I try again,.... nothing. Today I decide Ill give it one more shot and it took a while but i finally got it going again and its producing clouds of vapor' Who can explain? I use an 801 penstyle I do have some tho that I gave up on completely may they R.I.P.

I have one that isn't working well also. Hopefully Im as lucky as you and it will come back to life. Did you just keep puffin on it until it worked good?

Sounds like some wild voodoo, pattyjo. I have a few leading questions that might help me or someone else come up with some WAGs (wild-a** guess).

Do you always use the same type of power source (i.e. passthrough, screw-in, etc.)? How was the supposed dead atomizer stored (in a bag, sitting on a shelf, under your bed, etc.)? How many drops of e-liquid do you use before starting to vape a new or soo-to-be-resurrected atomizer? What types of juices do you use? Does this atomizer work on all of your power source?

i just use a usb to recharge the battery i really dragged hard on it until i could get it hot it may be that it was flooded and just had to dry out i dont know i usually store my atomisers with a piece of tissue in the hole to sop up the juice or i just set it standing up on tissue in a craft box that i have that has alot of compartments anyway i drain them every night some come back some dont

Yea, flooding can make you think your atty is toast, but a good draining takes care of that. Over time, it is believed that 'juices from vaping past' leave deposits on the heating coil. This cumulative congress of 'gunk' acts like an insulator requiring the heating coil in the atomizer to have to run hotter than normal to produce vapor, hence you work like mad to get the darn thing to produce. Cleaning may or may not work, but probably do not significantly extend the life of a dying atty. I have one that works that I pitched today as it only oerates at 20% or less of a brand new one.

Hi! I'm just a couple weeks into this myself and just went through the exact thing - I've got an Npro Njoy, and have ordered an additional kit and couple extra atomizers. When they get here I'll have 4 atomizers and 4 batteries and a couple bottles o' juice. I've been trying to be careful with the one atty I've got.

My e-smokerette went dead yesterday. I followed a similar pattern and cleaned it out in hot water, once and let it dry. Nuttin'. Battery recharge, nuttin'. I cleaned it a second time and eased a tweezer prong around the heating element and jigged it a little at the base, carefully, and washed it out again and ran a mix of hydrogen peroxide and hot water through it, let it soak, rinsed, repeated. Blew dry the puppy on low for a few minutes.

VAPE!

I didn't think it was actually dirty or gunked up, but it seemed that did it. It's workin' fine as of now - puff puff.

Doing this I noticed - on the RN4081 battery on the threaded end, there's two slots, small ones. On the atomizer there's two small holes in the threaded end. These all actually line up and (appear) to form a pass through for air when there's a draw. The characteristic "gurgle" seems to occur when small amounts of juice get in there (or saliva I suppose, although I like to think I'm a fairly "dry" smoker, but only my atty knows for sure

)
But what I also did was insert a pin into the atty holes and carefully cleared the area inside (I think) and shook it out and did the clean/soak/repeat steps, before finally blowing it dry.

Maybe I'm the last to not know this but those two holes can get misaligned if the cart twists (which I do a little as I smoke) and if they're partially blocked at all, the draw is impeded. Also, if you hold the Npro and fingers block the holes, there's no vape at all. I didn't realize I was doing this at times.

This is probably common knowledge, but if it helps, 'sall good. My take is the atomizer needs to be clearned and cleared regularly to insure a reliable vape. But...If this atomizer tanks again and won't revive, I'll be the one wearing the "'Tupid" t-shirt.

I noticed this as well when I first started using my RN4081. I think it's habit from my anolog smoking to hold it near the "filter" on the RN just like I did with my Marlboro's. Once I figured that out I was vapin' like a champ. I also twist my cart as well but know now to check the alignment when my vapor get's weak before checking the cart ot battery. Just curious, how long has your atty lasted?

I've had the NPRO (RN4081) and the M401 for quite some time now and love them both.

I found the RN4081 requires a very gentle draw. Hard puffing heats up the atomizer, and cuts down vapor and taste. When this happens, I set the atty aside for a few days. When I use it again, it's fine, as long as I'm gentle with it. You have to keep the atty wet, and cool.
