Poll: Does dripping really kill your atty?

I've heard a lot of opposition on this. Some say w/ regular cleaning the atty will last just as long. Some say w/ regular cleaning, it will vape like new, but die sooner. While still others say it will both decrease performance and longevity regardless of cleaning. Vote, and lets see if we can find a better consensus.

I have dripped in both, Njoy ncig and Janty Kissbox atomizers.
In both cases, no atty has lasted longer than 2 months, using cartridges or dripping.
Now I have no choice other than dripping since using cartridges with Janty Kissbox attys gives you burnt taste all the time.

Dripping, if done right and on the proper equipment, may not be as damaging to an atomizer as many believe.

I am pretty sure that suppliers recommend against dripping for two primary reasons. First, dripping will eventually foul automatic batteries. Liquid that seeps into the switch in the battery will likely gum it up and render the unit useless. Second, if you drip onto a hot atomizer heating coil, you certainly could shorten it's life. Think of plunging a hot piece of metal in a cold bucket of water.

It won't harm you addy but may harm your automatic switch in your battery.

If you use an auto switch PV such as the 901, 8084, peewee, super mini, etc, it will definitely kill the batteries.

If you use a manual switch PV such as the Prodigy or Screwdriver that has a sealed battery compartment, your batteries are safe.

I've been dripping for well over a month now using the same atty and never had a battery or atomizer fail.. Probably the way I drip on the atomizer keeps the juice from going into the battery. I hold the atomizer horizontally (on the side) and drip on the mesh only, then put a cart on with moist (not dripping wet) filler installed to soak up the dripped fluid. It seems to work just fine. Most show the drip by holding the atomizer vertically, which would surely get the juice into the battery.

After finding a cleaning method that truly clears the coil of residue, I converted to dripping 2 months ago. IMO dripping actually helps the coil stay cooler and abates lead failure, but perserative measures should be employed to keep the residual build up off the atomizer.

I was never fond of any of the materials used in cartridges at all due to the potential toxic fumes that might be being produced from them---especally the polyester core. By drippping, that issue is taken out of the equation all together.
