Will now try it on a DSE901 battery with the same problem and a sticky RN4081 battery. Thats three batteries out of eight I own that are problematic - seems to be a very common issue if my experience is anything to go by.

You're welcome. What happened to me is that immediately I noticed that it started lighting up on its own wayyy less frequently, BUT it still happened here and there within a few minutes, so I tinkered in there again with a paperclip one or two more times, and ever since, no problems! So you might have to mess around more than once, but it should work for good sooner or later. Just be careful in the battery.

are you guy's sure it's the battery? I just got my DSE901 and have been using my two batteries with my original atomizer with no issues. Last night I decided to hook up the extra atomizer I bought from Steve as the one I was using seemed to be ready for some cleaning. Ever since I Hooked it up no matter which battery I plugged in they would light up on there own and act weird. They will not light up and the atomizer will heat up, or they will just light up on their own. They will also do the flashing light thing like they are cleaning. When I use my batteries with the original atomizer they work just fine. I ordered my DSE901 from Steve at puresmoker.com and I have to say first off what a great retailer Steve is. I am overly satisfied with his prompt service and product and I am totally in love with the e-cig. Haven't smoked an analogue since Saturday and don't miss them. Steve you are awesome!! I think this issue may be with the atomizer and not the battery, but that is my thought and I am a noob to! |

I've had battery problems. One that came with the 901 seemed to do the "you've smoked too much" flash after every puff or two. Its replacement heated the atomizer up within seconds. On my pen, one of the batteries is also doing the "you've smoked too much" flash....

I've had one of my batteries develop the same issue, I've tried the paper clip and seen no improvement. I fear though that i may have over juiced and gummed up the works. |

For batteries that are "stuck" off and won't light up at all because juice got in them... Try suckin air in from the end of the battery where the switch is, really hard a few times. That might free it up. A more drastic measure if that doesn't work, would be to place the battery over steam (LED side up) for a couple minutes and then repeat the above step. Keep trying this procedure and pray that it finally unstickifies |

I had the same thing happen with my rechargeable e-cigar. I keep it in an old cigar tube and when I picked up the tube, it felt warm. I took out the cigar and it too was very warm. Luckily (and inexplicably) the atomizer didn't burn out but it was pretty alarming.
