I haven't seen anything like this posted- This is for those that clean their atty's whether it be occassionally or often... **What type of atty do you use...(401, 510, 901,etc) **What do you use it with..(401 batt, 901 batt, SD, Prodigy, etc) **How often do you clean your atty..(daily, weekly, monthly, when it needs it, etc) **What do you primarily vape...(variety, fruity, tobacco, HV, Ecopure, VG, DIY w/ vodka, etc) **How do you clean your atty...(blow it out only, soak 5 min in water, overnight in water, soak in cola, denture cleanser, rinse lightly, etc) **How long after cleaning, drying does it take your atty to perform...(right away, 10 long inhales, a few times to prime it and usually starts performing back to regular or better after a day...) **Do you find it performs... (better, smoother, lighter, etc) **Average lifespan of your atty w/ normal use...(still going 3 mos later, a couple weeks, after 3 cleanings, a month, replace when pull is hard and cleaning doesn't help, etc...) >>>In parantheses are just probable answers- I am looking for specifics to you and your experiences... Thx so much! I am just trying to determine by experiences of others if I should look at some alternate methods of maintenance based on several factors- Thx again for any who choose to participate in my "questionaire"... |

510 on a 510 battery, I only blow it out if overfilled, I have never cleaned them. Using the same 2 as when I bought them. Vape menthol and tobacco flavors.

Thx Sheryl! I hope I can get a few more answers here- I think it would be helpful for everyone since it seems attys perform differently for each model and would, of course, require or not require certain maintenance... and then the type that works best per model... I appreciate your response!

Tonight, I actually cleaned my two attys for my 510 (using 510 battery) for the first time (have been using them for about two months). I just used tweezers that are slightly curved at the tip to pull out the few burnt fibers from under the atty bridge and then blew out the atty a few times. Made quite a difference in the draw (and no more burnt taste).

810 atty with 810 batt/PT 4 weeks on 2 attys still at full strength. I don't clean or dry them out. One was getting what I though was less than new about a week ago. Soaked in rubbing alc. for about 3 hours (long enough to make the paint soft). Let it dry over night. 3 drops prime and worked great and is still going. I think the failures that most people are having is a result of overheating a dry atty, burning it up and baking stuff on, or just using it to hard for to many drags in a row. I think by not filling it correctly, trying to get the last drop out of the cart, people make up for a lack of juice, by trying to run the atty to hard to get the vape. |

Good information- I also have thought there has got to be some other reason so many people have issues... I figure I must use mine exactly as intended, no mod, no drip/dip, I refill and make sure it is not overfilled, etc- I do blow them out but not every night, but when I put away my stuff for the night I put my atty back into the dummy sleeve it came in and sit it in a shot glass so that the tip is facing down... I guess that gives it an opportunity to drip out if need be... The only 2 I have tried w/ "cleaning" are the one atty I had that dropped and one of my husbands that actually melted on the side... The one that dropped has revived somewhat... experimenting still to get it back 100% - the one that the mesh partially melted away is still a "no go"- I am keeping it though just in case... |

I'm using my 510 atty since only 3 weeks, having consistently good hits. No cleaning, i just let it standing, cartridge side down, on a sheet of paper when not i use. There's almost always some leftover ejuice on the paper and the atomizer taste as good as new afterwhile.

UPDATE: We're having puppies today at my house so I stayed home from work....so between puppies, I worked on an atty I had soaking in cpro, an atty so plugged up, hardly any air would pass through when I blew on the batt end...so the prime was left in....I soaked it for three days and low a behold, I could now get air through it but it was still too restrictive...so I boiled it for an hour with the batt end up. I could see little air bubbles trying the come out on the batt end, after it boiled for an hour, I could clearly see the air bubbling through the air holes on the batt end. And sure enough, after I cooled it down it vapes like a new atty...easy draw, full of vape....I conclude the cpro wash loosened everything up and the boil cleared the mesh.
