Default 901b atomizer "Stays on" without puffing

Hi,

I just got my DSE901b today, but after plugging in the battery, I noticed that the atomizer turned on automatically without puffing (before I put in the cartridge/mouth piece) and will not turn off (red glow inside). After 10-20seconds the atomizer part will become burning hot. I removed the battery right away.

It seems to be doing so only with one of the battery, the other one works fine. Any idea what may cause that other than a bad battery.

I got it from LitecigUSA, I emailed them to find out also but figured I'd get more opinions. Hopefully if it is a faulty battery, they will send me a new one free of charge.

Thanks

Your Battery pressure switch is getting stuck on--take the battery off the atomizer and suck and blow through the battery hole on the battery. Also bang the battery on a hard surface at both ends. You can also try to clear the pressure switch with a paper clip sticking it up the battery hole and wiggling it around. This can happen sometimes if you are using too much e-liquid and it is dripping out of the atomizer into the battery. Do not top off the cartridge to the point where the e-liquid is pooling--just wet--Happy Vaping!!

I've also got a balky 901 battery. I draw on it and it stays on after I stop untl it starts flashing. Then it won't work on the next draw until I tap it on a hard surface first.

It happens sometimes. Nothng is perfect. Ths is why my ScrewDriver is my primary e-cig and I only use the 901 as a backup.

Thank you. Tapping it a bit worked. I didn't drip in it yet, was brand new

Default Pressure switch needs to loosen up

This will happen with new batteries that need the pressure switch broken in and used ones that get stuck from residual e-liquid. It also occures on many models--mine being the penstyle--I am glad the problem cleared for you. I thing with the new batteries, it is the shipping in the cold weather thas caused the membrane to tighten up before it gets used as I just got 2 new batterys and they both needed a good bang before the switch functioned properly, but what ever it is that causes it, the remedies here ususal work.--Happy Vaping--Sun

Hi, since i'm still new and can't post a new thread i'll need to hijack this post for what i've found out regarding the batteries.

I had a 3 brand new 901 batts sent to me but out of them only one was working properly. one had an impossible draw (think sucking a straw) and the other had the "blue light always on" syndrome.

After watching Maddog's vid on dismantling the battery i went ahead to dismantle them and here's what i found:

the pressure switch is comprised of a diamond shape plate (Plate) and 2 contacts on a plastic container which acts as a vacuum chamber. QC of the switch isn't too good so what happens is sometimes the Plate slants on activating the switch due to the contacts being not aligned properly. This requires extra force to "sit" the plate. what i did was to bend the Plate so that both tips has the same distance away from the contacts. this way the shaft connected to the Plate travels straight up and down......

Confused? will try and draw it out to clarify things.....

Ugh...I had it happpen to me. I tried the blow on one end and then the other. Then resorted to the paperclip...now I really screwed it up...tastes like battery juice when I went to try the suck...but mine was months old and it happened with more than just a 901...they just have a lifetime that is so long...
