| Thanks, I've tried both Laptop and mains USB, same thing. I have to admit to not actually having run either battery down to flat yet though, so maybe that's where the problem is! Obviously at the moment both work, I'll just have to wait until one goes flat and then try again. I haven't totally taken to the world of vaping yet - the vapour hit isn't the same as smoke and therefore hits my throat and lungs different and I'm not sure I like it. I'm asthmatic (that's why I want to stop smoking) and the different feeling makes me worse than a normal cig does! It's probably just what I'm used to and I will persevere for a while, but at the moment I'm trying to prepare for quitting altogether. But I do love smoking and that's why I struggle to quit - I've been a light smoker for about 15 years (between 4-10 a day max, depending on whether I'm at the pub with friends) and although it's so few, those that I do have I really enjoy. |

You do have to persevere with the e-cigs a bit at the beginning. I was somewhat disappointed at the start (not helped by the exaggerated claims from the sellers it has to be said) but now I'm starting to think that I prefer them over analogs (I love being able to snatch a few quick puffs in the kitchen at work whilst making coffee!) I'm afraid to have a real one just in case I say to myself "oh God, that's fantastic" Good luck!

Not sure what is going on with the USB charging... everybody raves about the super fast charge rate (like 20 mins or something). I just bought a USB charger (was using the mains charger) & run it from a 2000mAh mains unit (direct into the mains - no computer at all). From flat my genie batteries take anything from 2 - 4 hrs to charge (tip lights up) and my atom batteries take a similar time before the tip lights up. I've tried using several different powered hubs & also direct into the computer with the same result - obviously very dissapointing given that there is so much speak of these mega fast charges using the USB adaptor. So what is going on? Different types of USB charger out there? Mine is direct from Intellicig in the UK this week & using relatively new (or even brand new) batteries. Wish I knew - really would like the convenience of a fast charger, even if it does reduce the life of the battery eventually. Matt |

I pretty much concur with matsmith - 1.5 hours using a mains plug with usb port for my mighty atom batteries. If I plug the usb into the laptop the LED doesn't light up when fully charged.

im still having the same issues, i plug the usb charger in, screw in the battery, it flashes 5 times, then it stays unlit. Strange thing is it has lit up at the end only a couple of times, but the rest of the time im not convinced its getting a full charge through to the battery. Luckly ive also got a mains charger i got with the mirage which also fits the evo batteries, so ive been using that. Ive read referance on here that some newer pc's cut off power to the usb when there is no longer a draw from them, but im wondering if its possible that the draw isnt enough to register in the first place and so the battery doesnt even begin to charge? im trying a usb hub at the moment which has leds on it, so i know theres power going to it, ill wait and see if this works.
